Plus, the 66 grain aren’t that great. I’ve shot them at 900 fps from my Skout and they were just “meh”. Plus the BC was no better than the 50.5 grain.Do you think this rifle has the power to push the AEA 66 gr?
I won't argue, but given ammo costs and looking for that kinda power I'd go .25? Maybe snag a .25 barrel for your Ghost, 70+FPE on tap! More Ammo choices, flatter shooting....I think I'm selling myself on a .25I would like the standard Sonoran, with the smaller bottle… 75 fpe is plenty for small to medium sized game. I like it in hunting configuration. Don’t want to heavy it up with the larger bottles. Though I concede that those who compete may have a need for the full power package. I like my bottles to be proportionate to the gun, irregardless of shot count… So the basic Sonoran, if I had to choose.
I agree and I guess maybe I’m harsh but this fact alone would keep me from ever buying one. Not cow-towing to marketing crap like that. Just my personal opinion. Obviously they are selling them and the tuning serviceMy thought process is like this: who is buying this gun without a power tune?!?! The Ghost in.30 is a bit of a dog, and it can get up to 90+fpe with the heavier pellets. The Sonoran doesn't make sense without the power tune really. The Leishy's were one of the first to offer a SubMoa barrel....personally I hope SubMoa gets a barrel design for most pcps out there! Most manufacturers could use some more barrel options.
You don’t have to have the power tune… The gun has plenty of power right out the box.I agree and I guess maybe I’m harsh but this fact alone would keep me from ever buying one. I don’t think AOA is forcing anyone to purchase the Sonoran or the power tune just offering options. You don’t have to have the power tune… The gun has plenty of power right out the box.

Tony i had that same problem with my first ghost. Now when i pull a barrel on a new gun i check where the last step is by the breech and see if it feels sharp if it does i take a fine file to the edge to get rid of the sharpness and stop it from cutting the o rings.Well let's get back to talking about the Sonoran I am shooting
For those of you who have bought one, stock up on these. The barrel is setup kind of like a RW, where it has 2 barrel O rings. Every time I pull the barrel to clean it, these get mangled and need replaced. I found a little silicone grease, on them when you put the barrel back in helps.
I have only replaced the Breech seal once and that was right before Oregon.
The Breech O ring is a 5 X 1.5 Or in the O ring Store language a 1.5 X 5.

Groups I shot last night between the 50's and 45 AEA's will follow later.

Ya think they could get a metric tap?For those of you waiting on your Sonoran this screw to take off the barrel is 1/8" and the front one is 3mm...It has to do with the process of the power tune.
