Funny when I pull out the screw it is very nicely done....The crap you see on the screw is some silicone grease that was on my fingers....I was just letting folks know there will be 2 sizes....Next time I have it apart I can send a different photo.

So far this rifle has been a dream to shoot

I did say I hoped that I was misinterpreting the image lol. That is good to hear. Hopefully I’ll get my hands on it next Friday. I will delete my previous post. It definitely was not meant as a personal jab. I mistook the reflection on the grease as marring. I stand corrected, thanks for all the information.

Went out to Rio today....Here is the wind...Not bad for Rio....


Now for the groups....5 shots at 100 yards.


Here is a group using the JTS 45's...not bad, but not great.


The AEA 45's which are like Hen's teeth to find.


Here are the 44 Rangemaster/JSB pellets.

Of course I will have more to come

You know your skills and rifle are superb when the bad group is still sub-moa. Very impressive. Are you sorting the pellets or are they random?

I just wash them...Still trying different lubes....It is the rifle ... I have never shot groups like this before at 100...And maybe I am learning the wind some

Here is the weather at Rio last night. 100 yards 5 shot targets.






Here I was playing with my cheek pressure seeing what different pressure would do and I got this vertical string.



On this one I was really trying to use the same cheek pressure and aiming at the same spot. We had right to left and left to right winds all night.



Guess I didn't learn my proper cheek pressure





Looks like my rifle likes the 44-45 weights better, but need more testing.

It was a fun evening shoot at the range. Just got home so tomorrow morning I will update everybody….I did learn a few things.

Let's start with the wind at Rio last night....Not bad, but you would get the dreaded orange and green flags at the same time depending how far down the range you looked....Welcome to Rio

Now last night I was shooting 3 pellets, at 100 yards, against each other....JTS 45, AEA 45, and the 44 Rangemaster.....No 50 AEA pellets were hurt in this test....

So after a few sighter shots I got this 5 shot group from the AEA pellets



Well not bad at all.

Switched over to RM in the same wind



Let's try the JTS pellets now



JTS didn't have any left to right wind, I pretty much just hammered 5 shots out in no wind

So this did not help at all deciding on which pellet to use.

Did another group with the AEA's



So it looks like all 3 shoot pretty darn good out of this rifle.....

Ok got my caffeine flowing and the morning walk in....So here we goooooooo!!!!!

JTS 45's



So overall not too bad for the JTS in the wind. I was trying to read my wind flags so the pellet would hit the 10 ring. Man I am still sucking at reading the wind

Time for the AEA 45's



Now after all this testing I was at about 110 pellets down the barrel. I grabbed out my cleaning rod and just ran a mop through the barrel and got this group....



I will tell you, I was very focused on the flags, how I was holding the Sonoran, and my trigger press. My little pea sized brain was TIRED after that group

I didn't show anymore RM targets because they were pretty much 1.2 inches and larger in the wind.

Overall all 3 pellets performed well, even the RM's.

The SubMoa barrel is shooting fantastic and it likes all 3 of the 44/45 grain pellets.

Well, I just bought a Sonoran and am looking forward to shooting it. Your report on the gun is great! I know I will have a Sniper XR Magnum .25 cal. that has the Power Tune from Aoa and the Sonoran. It's going to be fun comparing the two guns.

So what happens when you have a few world class shooters at Rio range night? You pick their brains and you really concentrate on your wind calls. Claudio, Fady, Ziad, Lauren, Jared, of course the boss lady all were there getting ready for RMAC. (Fady and Ziad are staying with Barb and I until Monday when we leave for Utah).

Talk about a fun time!!!!!! Fady and I "played" a shooting game at 100 yards. You get 1 sighter shot, then you take your shot on a bull. The next person gets 1 sighter shot and shoots the same bull. Then it's my turn, with no sighter shot, so it makes you concentrate on the flags on the previous shot and micro adjust from there. After about 5 shots each, you head to a different bull depending on how shot up the bull looks .

It really helped me with reading the flags!!!!! So I had some very good groups out at 100, but when I shot this 10 shot group near the end of the night I put down my rifle and said...."Hell Yeah"



First shot I held 4 MOA and you can see the 7. The next 9 shots I held 6 MOA and really watched my flags to see what they were doing and micro adjusted for each shot. JTS 45's at 895 FPS. Drop the Mic baby!!!!!! Only a couple of 10's, but I will take 9's in that wind for sure.

Sunday is Father's day and there will be a 100 yard local competition....The Sonoran and I will be taking on these World class shooters. I tried to get extra points for being a father and having 2 boys, but Fady, Ziad, Claudio, all pointed out they have kids also....crap no Father Day points for me

So I woke up at 0450 Hrs. this morning and Fady and Ziad are already in my garage cleaning rifles getting ready for another day at the range...Guess that's why they are World Class shooters.
