Others BRK Sniper XR Eats The CPHP

So I know I few of you have had luck in the brks with shooting the cphp's but non of mine have.

So recently a buddy reached out and said he wanted to thin his collection. I have been joking with him to sell me the sniper xr becuase he told me it shot the walmart ammo and that's one thing I was missing. I have accumulated so many of them over the years and wanted something that would eat them.

He's a good friend so I went and picked it up on Friday to do some testing and he was right it does like them. Not only did it have a great speed range Low 11fpe, Medium 17fpe, and High 25fpe which is great for me. Took it out to test it and he was right it shot them well on all the speed levels.

Testing was only 25y but I for unsorted walmart pellets I am 100% happy with the way it turned out looking forward to trying it out some more and this just means the notos can go and I need to send payment to my buddy.

Nice rifle, I can't believe your buddy sold it. Being able to change power on the fly with the different distances I shoot was a game changer for me. Can't do that with the Ghost. Mine likes anything I put in it, especially CPHP! Something else you might like is that CPHP shoots the same trajectory on power level 2 (20flbs) that the 18's shoot on full power, but much cheaper and saves air.

Very nice setup. It's kinda to bad that Brk has moved away from the wood stocks on all there newer guns.....save money on Ammo and more shots per fill is always a win!

Definitely I have the synthetic stock too but really liking the look of the safari stock.

Congrats on a killer setup. Nice rifle and I recall from owning one a few years back they are very ergonomic. Kinda like the Uragan - just feels very natural to shoulder.

Can’t do that on a Ghost? Da power wheel has twenty settings, the TPs on my Atomics and Pathfinder have three! Of course you can change power “on the fly” with a Ghost… It depends on your tune, and is applicable with mine, “right out of the box”…

The Sniper has a larger range 13-30 fpe which I like a lot better for my situation. Maybe the power wheel can adjust that much without spring changes, maybe I’m wrong.

Haven’t chrono my Ghost on minimum with the CPHPs yet, but will. You being able to more than halve the power output on your Sniper simply with three TP adjustments is impressive.

Great rifles!!!!!! Having the TP adjustments is a super easy way to change power and when all 3 TP give you good groups it is a total win.....

Definitely my atomic has the tp adjustment but that stays in the 10fpe settings at all times but is definitely pellet picky.

The S510 platform runs the same TP adjuster for power change, def quicker and more drastic a change than the Ghost. Hands down a better system while hunting if you need to dial it down for a close shot. Also at 40Y on 3 of the 5 settings poi is the exact same! Whereas the wheel is more a fine tune adjustment to dial In your ammo speeds, any substantial changes need to be made with the reg adjuster of course.....and by then your quarry is long gone! Where the Ghost wins (and similar style guns) as you dial power down on reg or hammer spring you get more shots per fill. I personally love both systems!!
