Latest news from Barra is that there’s a price drop on the 1100z PCP air rifle. Plus there’s some interesting new Barra scope rings too.

The HAM Gold Award-winning Barra 1100z air rifle is now reduced from $250 to just $225!

In our comprehensive test review, we described the 1100z as being the “must have”, low-cost gun for anyone who wants learn about how airguns work, how to tune and improve them. We still stand by that opinion.

So, now what about these new Barra scope rings?

Well there’s just two models. However the price is very attractive and they definitely look to be good value. As is the case – of course – with all the Barra products we’ve seen. They are branded with the unusual “CVLife” name.

30mm Picatinny Rings

First, let’s look at the 30mm Picatinny rings. These high mount rings are selling for just $20 on the Barra Airguns website. Barra says that 1.26 inch ring center height rings are compatible with both Weaver and Picatinny rails. They are CNC-machined from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum alloy.

The package includes two riflescope rings, a T25 wrench, and four additional screws.

Unusually, Barra says that these rings come with stainless steel hardware which protects the screws from stripping. Also they publish recommended maximum torque settings. These are 18 In/Lbs for the ring screws and 30 In/Lbs for the base screws.

One Inch Picatinny Rings

These High Profile scope rings are even cheaper. Just $15.00 per pair.

These 1 Inch scope rings position the center of the scope tube 1.2 inches from the base. Perhaps surprisingly, Barra says that these rings are only suitable for Picatinny rails. Apparently they are not compatible with Weaver rails.

Other details, including the material, stainless steel screws and torque settings are the same as for the 30mm rings.

As with the 1100z, these Barra scope rings are in stock and available from the Barra website.

The 1100z is also available from Pyramyd.

Nice to tell .. I've seen more uptown ring and mount brands not even tell this .

A guy wouldn't need to post a how much torque required thread or just crank a ring cap to 30inlbs and kink the tube ..lol.

Yip. My thoughts entirely.

I guess the gen 2 1100z is still preorder but this could be a clearance try to make room.

Ham needs to get one early for comparison review

After I posted I got confused cause one hen 2 showed a tube with gauge and fill probe then one showed foster ??

Hate to think going regulated force the probe over foster
