Alias airguns GEM - not so much of a gem.

Not sure why but I picked up a Gem Sapphire and I must say this pistol has some potential. The part lower part is pretty decent, but the barrel attachments are hot junk. Every single barrel attachment fits so loosely that it never makes a solid air seal. The o-ring which is supposed to make the seal blows out every other shot because there is a way too much space between the barrel and the pistol.

Nothing out there on these little pistols so I'm going to see if I can figure out something.

Summary - save your money.

I thought about it, with that AV bell target and some lead BBs, but couldn’t convince myself. Just way too much money even with the sale price.

I reviewed the Gem here recently and found it pretty good and did not have the issues you describe. I suggest a return if it's under warranty.

I haven't tried the short barrel with bbs, I have the longer arrow version kit that doesn't break open. I would reach out to AOA and see if they have any suggestions? That sucks
