So I filled up the gun to 250 bar last night. With the temperature and pressure drop it was at 230 bar when I went to start shooting this morning at my spot. The temp was about 47. I loaded up its 18 round Magazine with JSB 10.34s. Magazine loading was smooth and so was the caulking lever. Before setting up any targets, I ran several pellets across my FX chronograph which averaged 764 feet a second, good enough for me. I then set up a target, roughly 25 yards away. I fired up the Sightmark Mini and took three test shots. The first three shots were about 4 inches high and slightly to the right. I used the Sightmarks nifty zeroing system to zero the scope which took about three attempts to get it fine tuned. Considering I was shooting off of a wobbly shooting table the gun proved accurate to me. My best group was thumb width and if we took out the flyer It would have been much better . No matter, this is still acceptable to me for hunting. The gun itself is light, balanced , ergonomic, smooth, very solidly built and I really love the folding stock feature which when it’s locked it’s rock solid. I’m not going to touch a thing on this I’m just gonna shoot it as is. At the end of the shooting session I was down to about 180 bar (36 shots) the Gun is pretty efficient at the tune it’s currently at. She pairs well with the Sightmark mini. Of course the trigger is awesome and the gun by itself is pretty quiet but I wouldn’t call it backyard friendly at least not in my backyard, so with the help of my tiny Hugget moderator she was quiet. This isn’t my first Katran I also have the .22 standard with the cylinder. Air max makes quality guns in my opinion and with use the accuracy should improve, but then again could’ve been me and my wobbly table lol. Overall, I’m very pleased with my new toy.
