Airmaks .22 caliber Krait X VS Krait X MK2

Got my new .22 caliber Krait MK2 a couple days ago and final shot it this weekend. First off I have a Krait .22 X and absolutely love the gun as it shoot pellets very well, I have final started to shoot some slugs, but more to come from that testing.

MK2 is a very nice rifle with some cool upgrades,

1) The plenum jumps up from a 60cc to 75cc or 115cc plenum EDIT: Mine has the 75cc plenum
2) The magazine is now designed to hold the larger 40 grain slugs, which I will be working on next, the largest I can get in the Krait X is 30 grain
3) It now has a hammer spring wheel that is easy to use and you only need to move in small increments to start seeing the speed go up or down.
4) The big thing is that you can adjust the regulator up or down with out draining any air, I found you when you move the regulator to just take several shots to re-set and settle.

I am really happy with the gun and it is shooting really good groups, if the photos the was 10 shots at 100 yards with lite winds from behind.

Krait 1 I did a custom cerakote and I might do that with the MK 2 in the future.

Very nice. Im interested in your findings with slugs. Obviously accuracy with them but what kind of power it can push and shot count efficiency

I should be trying slugs this next weekend, I am hoping that it will like the 40 grain boattail slugs!

Really great looking guns. I like the new features a lot, especially being able to change pressure up or down on the fly. I've always liked the look of bullpups, but their compact nature is lost on me these days because I always use my tripod because I can't shoot them worth a damn off hand anymore. Still like them though, and I have always liked AirMaks, I just haven't bought one yet for one reason or another. Maybe some day, for sure, lol.

The reason I ended up getting an FX instead of a Katran N was because I was told the magazine couldn't do 40gr slugs, or I would have gotten that. There was a used one at UA that really called to me. I am happy for you that they recognized and solved an obvious problem in a market where people will just buy something else if you don't make what they want to use. If you're a company making a .22 that can shoot slugs and it can't handle 43gr slugs, in todays market, you're just shooting yourself in the foot.
