AAA EVOL-SLUGS&Jackrabbits Overnight

It's just about that time again to head out and do some Jackrabbit hunting, it's been a while since I have done an overnight. Here was one of my last overnight trips with the EVOL .22 using the 22.3gr slugs.

Thanks, it's one of my favorite areas to camp. Unfortunately it's not easily accessible anymore so I've been scouting new spots.

Nice shooting and great video as Pumacarl said already.

I thought ticks were a North East thing, hate those things we are littered with them here.

And while I love the hardwoods we are blessed with in New England , something about the landscape out your way is super intriguing

Ticks are quite the weird phenomenon in my lifetime. I grew up in NH in the 60's and 70's, went into the Army in the early 80's, went to in processing in SC, basic and ait and jump school in GA, and finally arrive at my first permanent duty station, Ft. Bragg in NC. I was sent straight to the field and after clearing a building in mout training, we were told to drink some water and check for ticks. NOW GET THIS! Up to this point in my life, or the military training that I already got, I had never even heard of a tick! I thought this was more hazing sh!t for the cherry, and was informed it was not, and to check my armpits. Of course, there was one there! In just a span of 40 years, never heard of them, to commonplace. I also remember the start of home computers, cellphones and Spyderco knives, but none of them ever bit me! Ticks are a damn nuisance.
