Ghost 22 tensioned barrel inbound!!!

Hokey Smokes....what reg pressure was required to get a 30cal pellet going 1000fps!? Gert on his AimSmall channel on YT did hit the listed FPE (65) in .22 with his.....he had to dial it up to 190Bar!!...and he was shooting the 33.9gr Jsb beasts over 900fps I recall. My guess; with the 23in barrel you will probably be able to get a 25gr Jsb KnockOut @1000fps but not a 30gr+ slug? I'm hoping to get the 28inch and shoot 25 to 34gr slugs in the 900s (whatever is most accurate of course). I'm on pins and needles here with you. Hope it works out for ya For reference for ya I'm shooting Mrds @975 on 165bar, (H.W. 15) for 55ish good shots. On max I hit 998fps with same pellets.

I feel getting that speed on max spring tension is not ideal for a tune. I've heard of your trigger work, lots of praise from people on Ham.

That said, I can get them very light but will it be too light for a hamfisted or less precise individual. Also, a hunter, in cold weather, needs a heavier trigger. I can get a reliable & safe trigger pull on Ghost trigger group as low as 4 ounces. Not everyone needs that.

Absolutely, 100 percent. I wish that there were more published information from BRK on how to get better results. At least I have it clean now, which is more of a priority than low weight.

If YouTube is up you alley @Sub 12 airgunners does superb videos on the trigger work on the Ghost platform. Multiple vids on just the trigger alone and they double as official Brk/Daystate approved videos. You will learn all you need to know from them, definitely alot more than the manual!

Yeah, thanks. I used their video to get the trigger cleaned up. I was so happy with the results I stopped where it was. I seem to prefer reading as opposed to videos because of the depth of content, or in BRK's case, the lack thereof.

BARREL IS HERE!!

Got it installed and it looks funny without the shroud on it but I like it.

I did test the barrel with a few of the 30 grain boat tail slugs and they fired fine. Just need to get to the range and do some tuning.
