I have a few RAW / TM / HM type platforms. Primarily .177. for field target but i also have a .25 for extreme field target or critters needing that kinda kick.
The TM 1000 bottle version is used by a good many people who shoot pistol field target.
But wouldn't it be nice if you could use the same gun(s) with just some quick adjustments to the stock and HST?

The owner Gavyn, makes some amazing stuff. Most recently i received my PRS chassis for my TM1000 bottle version and it has exceeded all my expectations!
First picture is of the standard RAW chassis.
Pictures that follow are the conversion(s).
I can now choose to shoot <20 FPE field target or <20 FPE extreme field target for pistol by removing a 7/8 screws and taking off my moderator using the same scope and same dope.
I can also easily switch from <12 FPE field target to HFT pistol mode = <12 FPE. By removing my <12 FPE TM1000 from it's RAW chassis and inserting it into my PRS chassis.
Creating a pistol for field target is a tricky thing = from the AAFTA rule book of 2026:
3. Barrel length is limited to 15 inches including any attachments to the muzzle (e.g. moderator, or flip compensator). A wooden or other barrel-friendly dowel will be used to determine the length of the barrel, as measured from the tip of the barrel or muzzle attachment to the breech-face.
4. Fore end depth is limited to a maximum of 3 inches, measured from the center of the barrel to the lowest part of the gun forward of the trigger guard.
5. Attached cylinders at the rear of the Pistol are not allowed.
6. Overall length including any attachments must not exceed 25 inches = don't let that eye cup get you Disqualified.
The grip i chose for the PRS chassis is one of Martin Rutterford's of Airguns-USA black laminate....... it went on tight but it was a solid fit and it's a stellar grip.
Currently i stuck my .20 TM1000 in the stock so i'm running JSB 13.7's @ 800 FPS for a <20 fpe field target application.
I have 4 bottle options which i can choose from depending on the shot count i need / want and the center of gravity balance point i am trying to create:
300 cc .30 L
360 cc .36L
400 cc .40 L
480 cc .48 L
CF Bottles can be had on Amazon and neck valves from Airguns-USA or RAW.
Degassing tip.... thanks to Cameron Kerndt !
Since the bottles are valved, unscrew it one full turn and dry fire... you should see the pressure gauge drop a lot... if not, unscrew the bottle a wee bit more and repeat.... big time and air saver!
