Well i guess ill start a thread for it as i just ordered a 22 500 mm to see whats its like. I think it looks pretty cool and watched matts and geharts vids on it so i thought id give it a shot. Have ordered some 17.5 nsa and some 21 gr h&n pellets and slugs to see whats it will shoot i have other pellets here so i should be stocked. Will post more when i get it

Its different thats for sure. I think it looks pretty cool. I think ill be able to get close to 40 fpe without a lot of trouble and it may do well with slugs so it should be a good squirrel gun.

I thought about getting the tactical in .177cal 500mm barrel. I already have a DRS Classic in 22cal 600 mm barrel. Great looking airgun. Shoots great and easy to carry. Little loud though, even at 30 foot pounds with a mod.

So how does yours shoot? Also what moderator you running?

It shoots great. I own several FX airguns. Right now Its shooting JSB Hades 15.89's in my backyard. I've only ran 4 pellets through it. The JSB 18's, both version of the 15.89's and the new Crosman Premiers 14.'s. You can get by with the original FX mod that matches the barrel. The best one I have for noise reduction on it is the Weihrauch XL version. The pic below is the DonnyFL FX version, which matches the barrel.

Well the gun arrived this afternoon. Put an athlon argos 6-24x50 on it with a fx silencer which is still a little loud but anyway put on a reg gauge set it to 140 bar and cranked the hammer spring up to max velocity was reached. With 21 gr 217 h&n slugs its pushing 950 and 21.9 to 936. 21-218 dropped velocity to 912 so im hoping the 217’s are accurate but im also hoping that the aea bc of .06 is good cause the hollow point on the slugs is almost non existent so i think they will be icepicks.
Oh im getting 24 shots on reg

Its funny how everyone picks on fx, including me, for their soda straw barrels but generally they shoot slugs pretty easily and well.

Gotta say it handles nice if you handed it to someone with a blindfold they probably couldn’t tell if it was a 22 lr or an airgun. Just did another 14 shots and adjusted trigger to 8 oz 21 gr h&n pellets 950 sd 1.7. Now to get outside

Looking good! Now we need a pic of it beside one of the ghosts for size reference.
Should be a lazer with light slugs, looking forward to some groups from it.....slug v pellets

Well here ya go @Danman it a bit shorter than the 700 ghost and probably a bit longer than a 23 it also weighs less and shoulders well and isn’t bad on styx quite like a revere but more power @ 42 fpe which works if pellet and sllug bc hold up (pellet .06 slug .09) i think for squirrel head shots pellets would be preferred as i think they would do more damage. The drs is 41.5 inches long with a fx silencer and stock stock fully extended.

That is why if I go another DRS it would be the 500mm version. 600mm is ok. 700mm with the mod it would take to quiet it down would be too long to hunt with here in East TN woods.
