Marauder 2026 Marauder, any thoughts

I am kind of funny in that I want a .30 but not one that does not put out as much power as my .22, which is how most of them are. To me any air gun should be capable of shooting standard weight ammo from 800-1100 FPS with you having the ability to set it where you want it for your needs or wants. I don't want a .30 that has a hard time making 70FPE with pellets. There are plenty of them already. I would like one I could adjust from say 70-130 or 150 with no choke. Something I could turn down with heavy pellets for small to medium game and turn up with slugs for our small Florida deer or hogs, that does not weight 11 pounds with a scope on it. I don't care about regulators or big bottles, all I need is a good barrel and an easily adjustable hammer spring, 10 shots are plenty. I like guns made for hunting, the more versatile the better. Okey, I guess I should have gotten an Airforce .308 carbine when they were on sale for around $600. I am always a day late and a dollar short.

Could not agree more. If wanting to be relevant today a .30 needs to hit 100fpe. At least. Obviously if your only shooting 44gr pellets you can tune it down still. But if you want 70fpe....just get a .25 or a beefy .22 and gain a better trajectory with cheaper ammo. Very few .30 pcps in traditional rifle form are hitting 100fpe. The Gauntlet is one....

Do you currently hunt deer with an air rifle?
