I sent an Athlon scope in for service as it started treating AO focus as a suggestion rather than a feature. I sent it off 8 April and heard nothing. I sent an email to the company and they didn’t reply. I sent a second one, same result. I then contacted an airgun retailer that handled Athlon, asked if they had a different contact to see if there was some issue. After that, right after that contact, I got an email that said they were behind, had my scope and would be working on getting it resolved. It is now 4 months since it was sent in, no further contact, and no scope.
I haven’t sent many scopes back for repair, maybe 3 in 20 yrs, but I’m thinking I may have purchased my last Athlon.

Thank you for posting! Athlon is a seriously popular brand in airgun circles and many people would have said nothing because they don't want to rock the boat. The absolute worst thing that you can do is say nothing. Give praise where it is do, and point out where it isn't. I love my Athlon scope, but realize anybody can get too comfortable and fall off, and I want to know when it happens. Yours is the first case that I've seen it take that long, and yeah, I'd be p.o.'d too. Good luck going forward!

WOW
I have sent in a couple scope and the turn around was a few days.

Well apparently, after contacting them again, there aren’t any scopes to replace the failed scopes that are returned for warranty. So now, looking at “maybe October”, for a replacement. Good luck with a failed Athlon scope.

At least we all got a 'heads-up' from you, thanks for that!

I suspected it was an issue of haveing to replace it and not having one.
I am surprised they didnt offer you some other scope maybe a upgrade?
all I know is they have always taken care of me

That is what they should have done, offered him the next higher model up, that is what Bushnell used to do. It's on them to be short, it shouldn't be on the consumer.

my contact over there is out of pocket at the moment but I will be seeing him a link to this.
not that he can do anything but maybe he can help in some way?
no clue but fingers crossed.

Well, I bought an Arken as a replacement the scope, and I’ll wait and see what shows up from Athlon. I have two of the scopes in question, hope the other one doesn’t fail similarly.

When one of my Hawke scopes failed earlier this year, they had a replacement on it’s way within days of recieving my broken scope. As mine was nearly six years old and out of production, an upgraded scope was sent. Hawke. . . what a great company to work with. Orv.
