Panthera FX Bull barrel for Panthera

It defintely looks like you are figuring the 30 cal, It can be frustrating we all know. My king in ,30 cal shot the Hybrids really well at 950 960, & the 50.5 grain AEA pellets well at 937. referring to my notes, that I always write down on paper. I know .30 is mid bore & for hunting impressing other people as to show power. after that I personally never enjoyed the shooting & handling of them. That's me though. I've always enjoyed the challenge of hitting small things. The further the better. You think with more power it would be easier to hit smaller targets. I've found out the opposite to be true. Bigger caliber/ more power detracts to better accuracy. It's about dwell / loc time & shot cycle movement while the pellet is moving out the drainpipe/barrel This is my opinion , please don't take this the wrong way. I have owned a lot of air rifles, From .45 Texan , .30 & .357 Rattler .357 Raw. Impacts ( S ) .357 Slayer .30 cal King / Maxed out .22 Impact Fx royal .25 - ( my first PCP) gem. .22 will be the biggest caliber for myself. Like I said before if the .22 Panthers with Bull Barrel is not to my liking , after extensive testing. GONE ! Only rifles left are my .177 Crown with true BULL BARREL, .22 THOMAS. .....22 RAW with true BULL barrel, 1 of 1 custom .177 field target w/ old Daystate block. ( RARE)& my .357 SLAYER I can actually say been their done that.
Nothing I see to take the wrong way. I got my first airgun when I was 11 in 1972, a Diana Model 2 ,177 . Since then I’ve always owned and shot .177 airguns. I love the .177. It might sound crazy but for over fifty years I had never shot an airgun in any caliber other than .177. Then in 2024 I purchased my first.22 PCP. Then I purchased a Ghost HP .25. I shoot in my backyard, mostly at 100yds and have daily winds of around 7-15mph. I thought I might like to try 100yd benchrest and that’s where the .30 comes into play. One of my favorite guns to shoot,” is the inexpensive Alpha .22. My focus on the .30, is purely based upon 100yds benchrest shooting. Although I’ve grown to appreciate the .30 in wind.

F Y I still NO BULL BARREL for the Panthera MK 2 700 mm .22 cal. March 26 to July 7 In plain English that is 103 days.

I am now trying to get the SOLID BARREL but they are out of stock. From my understanding FX is having some PROBLEMS with the tolerances in their BULL BARREL. as well as some other issues , If you were myself in this situation what would you do. This rifle is sitting at the Dealer where it was originaly purchased & never left. PLEASE RESPOND! THANH YOU IN ADVANCE

What rifle are you going to put the solid barrel on?

Id go with the barrel and liner setup if it satisfies you great if not at least you can get used to everything else while waiting for the solid barrel cause everyone seems to have barrel woes at the moment

This not why I purchased this rifle to use the standard barrel & liner. I had a King in .30 cal with GRS stock & saber tactical chassis already. I am looking for 0 P O I, that wIhy I went for this set up but FX is having issues. I wish I understood the time frame alot better FX makes a great liner, but the Barrel is the problem, O-rings tensioner clamps ETC. You know what I am taking about now

THE Panthera 700 .22 , did you read my last post on BULL BARREL for Panthers page 3
Yes, but UA had the 14mm 700mm solid barrels in stock two weeks ago. I tried to order one. They told me that it would not fit my Panthera MKII and that I would need to wait for the bull barrel. None of which makes sense. In all honesty I’m not too troubled by the liner system so far. It performs on par with my $600 SUB-MOA barrel. Not, bad for the money and I can buy 7 different liners for the price of one SUB-MOA barrel. But, Idid buy the Panthera based on the new barrel options. 😔

The BULL BARREL from FX requires a bigger plenum, not the solid reason being is the diameter or space volume of it is diferent You will not have enough plenum volume ? It is sold as a kit. The solid Barrel should not need it, but you having a .30 cal who knows. On another note solid .22 & .30 have diferent ID They probably had .22 solids in stock not .30 Thats why they said it would not fit Next they will come out with solid Barrel with Bigger plenum. LOL ( MARKETING)
I don’t think that’s entirely correct about the plenum. The Panthera MKII 700mm has a 163cc plenum. The bull barrel will reduce that some and so the heaviest projectiles may be out, but still has plenty of power. The kit includes a block end cap and transfer port. Of course none of it matters if they can’t produce what they promised. That will be a huge marketing blunder on their part if true. You and I are two of many that purchased the MKII on the promise of the Bull Barrel.

At this point I am confused about what fits what Bull Barrel, & solid Barrel. If I am correct the Bull Barrel is caliber specific The liner has to fit the Barrel I am still trying to figure out the solid Barrel, with transfer ports. At this point FX needs to be more specific. & just come out with it & better explation

Just copied this from a fx add

The Solid Barrel is designed for all FX platforms using 14 mm diameter barrels and serves as a true 1:1 replacement. It features a thick-walled barrel housing paired with our innovative liner system. This system slides in with near-zero tolerance, ensuring an ultra-rigid barrel
assembly that maximizes accuracy.

According to both Utah Airguns and HPP, the solid barrel kit does not fit the Dynamic/Panthera. I believe the kit does not have the correct transfer port. Maybe I will ask FX-USA for clarification.
So what does it fit ? The block for the panthera , dynamic and king are supposedly the same. It would have to fit these as thats what gehard was shooting with 1 of those barrrls.

I read that too. Utah Airguns had a small quantity of the solid barrels in stock. Their listing didn’t include the Dynamic/Panthera and so I asked them if it would fit my Panthera MKII. They replied with a no. I just asked them again.

Then what does it fit?
