Panthera FX Panthera MKII .30 700mm My First FX

First of all, this is my first experience with an FX product. I received it this morning. The only things that I’ve done to this rifle as are follows:
1. Opened the box and removed the rifle. First impression: simply wow!
2. Added the FX bag rider that I purchased from HPP.
3. After holding it for a few seconds, I thought to myself self wow! Again lol.
4. Ran a bore scope through it and recorded a video and took some videos of the bore.
5. Filled it to 250 bar.
6. Took the DNT TNC225R off of the AV Alpha and put it on the Panthera.
7. Attached an Accu-Tac FC5 to the Arca rail.
8. Noticed it was set to the 110 bar. As mentioned previously, I decided to shoot it without any adjustments or cleaning. So, my first report is based upon “MY” belief that a $2400 should shoot accurately straight out of the box. It doesn’t have to be match ready or on target. It should be able to shoot a sub 2 MOA group at 50yds or more.
9. I went out and fired the first 9 shots at my steel plate at 50yds. No cleaning or adjustments. I shot 4 shots to get it zeroed at 50yds.

A polish wouldn’t hurt by the looks of it. Looks like some cracks in the lands from being pushed in. Wish i would have looked at mine first i just cleaned it

First group from the FX Panthera MKII. Shot straight from the box, no tuning or cleaning. Reg was set at 110 bar from the box. I used AEA 45gr pellets. Shot at 50yds with an ever present right to left crosswind. No wind correction. I shot 4 shots to zero DNT TNC225R digital scope. I deleted the first shot as it was 49-50 fps below the average and it did not hit the plate. Remember, this rifle shipped with a slug liner, not a pellet liner. So far, I’m both happy and impressed. All, shots were taken without a moderator.

Agreed. I’m going to shoot a group with slugs and then clean/polish it.

I was surprised to see that it already had a carbon fiber barrel tube and it appears to be glued.Although I didn’t really pull on it. I was expecting the o-rings to be there.

Did you buy new? Is FX putting in carbon fiber sleeves from the factory now?

I did buy it new. I’m going to send FX an email. AI states the new Dynamic and Panthera come with a carbon tube. I can’t find it stated anywhere and I’m pretty sure when I looked at the parts breakdown, it showed o-rings. Interesting?
