Atomic XR vs. Starlings…

Took my Atomic XR with Zulus atop to my local permission to see what I might. There were definitely starlings there and I bagged the twice pictured seven but didn’t bother to recover the others. I like the Zulus, but miss many opportunities when trying to decide to record or not. Going forward am just using it as scope and will record only occasionally. The bulk of the shooting at 30 yards, sending CPHPs… The Guinea Fowl was a close up witness to one of the kills… My next outing will be with my second Atomic with an 2-12x scope atop. Am looking to see if I bag more birds when not worrying about recording or battery life…

Great shooting! Have you considered purchasing a small charging battery pack, charging cable, and finding a creative way to attach the battery to your gun/stock? I do a lot of filming while I hunt and such items have become MUST HAVES when I head out. I have a friend in TX that designed a "sock" style sleeve that goes over a stock and has a pocket to hold the battery, it's what I use. I can ask him if he still sells them if you are interested?
