SKOUT Semi Auto PCP Air Rifle Launched At SHOT Show

The SKOUT Semi Auto PCP air rifle has been launched at the 2026 SHOT Show. It’s called the SKOUT SEMI and – according to the Airgun Depot website, has an estimated availability date of April 6, 2026.

The SEMI is the first semi-automatic design from SKOUT Airguns. It’s also causing interest as – at $1,399 – its price is lower than any of the company’s other air rifles.

Magazine capacity is 15 rounds and the manufacturer’s specifications call for 50 consistent shots from one 4,350 (300 bar) fill of High Pressure Air.

As with some other semi-automatic air rifles, the SEMI is to be available in .22 caliber only. Muzzle Energy is up to 45 Ft/Lbs using 18.1 Grain pellets, according to the company. That’s 900 FPS with these pellets.

There’s an externally-adjustable regulator with dual pressure gauges – one for the HPA bottle, the other to indicate the regulator pressure. Both are located in the underside of the receiver. The trigger is a two-stage unit.

Further information gives an overall length of between 34 and 36.5 Inches, dependent on the adjustable stock setting chosen. The barrel is 15.5 Inches long. Weight of the “bare” gun is 7 Lbs 6 Oz.

While there’s a full-length top Picatinny rail fitted, the receiver section is angled at 20 MOA. This will be of benefit when scope mounting for long range use.

The SKOUT Semi Auto PCP air rifle is supplied with one magazine and a Plano hard case. Scope, mount and silencer are additional-cost items – as would be expected. However a three-year manufacturer’s warranty is included.

Additional magazines are priced at $50.00. Given the cyclic rate potential of the SEMI, it’s pretty sure that you’re going to need at least a couple of extras!

Ok for you 1960s kids: every time I look at this rifle I have flashbacks to the Johnny Seven O.M.A.,
. . That’s a compliment, for those that don’t know what I’m talking about. On a serious note, it looks good, but does look a little bulky considering it doesn’t have the “Seven” add-ons of the Johnny Seven

Muzzle Energy is up to 45 Ft/Lbs using 18.1 Grain pellets, according to the company. That’s 900 FPS with these pellets.

Someone has a typo in there, or my reading comprehension isn't at tip top today.
18.1s @ 900 is 32.56fpe.

Would need about 1060fps with 18.1s to get to 45 fpe.
Or, more realistically, 25.4 grain pellets around 890-900.

Elsewhere Skout does say a 50 shot count per fill, with 18.1s @ 900 (32.56fpe). And in the same spec sheet, Skout says that 25.4s @ 900 is the max fpe (45fpe). So expect less than 50 shots per fill at max power with the stock bottle.

Looks like a brand loyal gun to me. I’m not hating on Skout. It’s bulky like the others. If I’m going for a semi, it’s gonna be the Taipan or EdGun offerings. Guns are trending on the sleeker side these days it seems. This one definitely wouldn’t be on my radar.

Good job Skout for going with zero electronics on it!
When you decide to make a fully electric pcp you essentially knock out a good percentage of your customers who may have bought one (i'm one such customer) as they don't want the hassle, reliability issues, or extra costs they bring. After watching the Skout video on it, i'd say they have a winner here!
Now....do a full redo on the Evo, ditch the electro, keep a slug barrel on it & ditch the water gun looking barrel moderator ( just make it shrouded)....and get back to me on it

Skout is offering a 580 cc carbon fiber bottle as annoption., I would definitely buy this rifle if it comes with a higher power. 30 cal( or at least,,.25)

Hey welcome to Ham! That is something that Skout is really good at. The offer the gun with or without the moderator too. Comes with a 300cc bottle and an option to go bigger if needed. The electro guns they made could be ordered with/without a case, different barrels/bottles....even no bottle! All to save the user money and not having some useless spares if you dont need em. Not alot of companies will do that.
