Hi gang. You helped me out before and I hope you can help me again. Some of you know that I got a Bandit PCP recently and converted it to a Bandit black with a Chaser long barrel, I also mentioned about getting the Lane regulator. Well the regulator came today and reading the instructions, I'm confused about something. In the instructions it says to remove the 2 O rings from the transfer/exhaust valve and does not mention reinstalling them. If there are no O rings on the valve, air will just go past the valve. I read and reread the instructions. I'm thinking maybe they forgot to say to replace them. also what is confusing is the fact is that they show just 1 O ring on the regular (there is a second grove for one but not used in my application, they say the regulator can be used in other PCP guns) But with only 1 O ring, seems to me that it could cock to one side when installing. I hope I did not confuse anyone with my long desciption. LOLL
Thanks in advance
Bill

I'm including a picture from the installation manual to show what I'm talking about.

I had to reply to my own post. All is well. I decided to do exactly as the instructions stated to see what would happen. It worked flawlessly. I understand that all regulators need a breathing hole in order to work. On some applications you have to drill a breathing hole in the air chamber to correspond to the breathing hole in the regulator, some can use the hole for the air gauge as the breather hole ( you have to illuminate the gauge ). In the case of the Bandit, The air valve with no O rings is bolted to the air chamber, then the regulator with 1 O ring at the front, butts up against the air valve. Air from the chamber goes through the regulator, directly into the valve, it only has 1 path. Now since the air valve with no O rings is just slightly off center in the air chamber and since the regulator only has 1 front O ring to keep the high pressure in the chamber, The regulator breaths through the passage around the valve and the rear of the gun that is not sealed. I started understanding how it worked on the Bandit once I started re assembling the gun and inspecting every step of the way.. I need to readjust the regulator ( had them set it for 150 bar/2,175 psi). I charge to 3,000 psi and get 4 shots with a 10 to 20 FPS variance. Before the regulator, The variance was greater and only the 2nd shot being the highest FPS. I only got 7 shots before regulating and had to recharge. At this point with the regulator, I'm getting about 20 or so bar higher then before after 7 shots.
Sorry for the long comment but may maybe it will help someone that is in the same boat as I was.
BTW. I dis stretch the hammer spring shortly after getting the Bandid and also installed the long barrel from the Chaser rifle kit.
