I started having some very concerning accuracy issues with my Taipan Veteran 2, I compared Chrono data, consulted a member and decided that it was time to do some exploring in its internals.

Same ammo and 200 bar fill. I decided to check out the regulator.

Bottle o-ring was getting pretty close to or was slowly leaking.

One of the regulator O-rings was flattened. I replaced them both. A replacement 3 O-ring kit was included with the gun exactly the ones I needed. I made sure to use a digital caliper on the new ones before I installed them, maybe get them cheaper from somewhere else should need arise.

All back together and holding air 👍. IMG_3497.webp

While I had it degassed I also straightened out the bottle to align with the barrel.

Great job on the repair man! I'm glad you got her lined up and shooting again.

I just wish ALL air gun cane with spesific o-ring size charts size and hardness.
I mean its not like they not now this information. they do put-em in
Fx does nice schematic and parts list. But it took me a while to realize, in the parts list, that they use comma where we merkans use period for the decimal point.

9,3x2,4 made no sense to me.

What you using to lube the Internals @FL22? I notice in the one Pic I see some SuperLube....that's a light oil or their grease? Ive been wanting to get that 'reg butter' from @Air Shootist ....but not sure he'd ship it across border...or how much more shipping would cost that the actual product🤨
On o-rings that are internal and in a static mostly undisturbed position I use silicone grease that way it stays in place not puddling inside the gun.

The ones that I will take apart often or receive a lot servicing such as your o-rings used on fill connectors and filters, I use the silicone lubricant.

Zeroed scope started at 25 then went out to 50y winds were 6-15 and rain.

Right side of target upper and lower is just two shots each at 50y. They look okay, but I don’t put much stock in a two shot group for testing purposes.

I also need to put it over the Crono when it’s not raining.
