Whats a brand you wont own again

Would like to hear more about the Snowpeak Max 1. Maybe see some groups as well?
My 25 yard or 45 yard?
45 yard be a few days, not as easy for this old man to get down to to put fresh target up.

Slug gun, bullpup(ish). Long but action back by your ear.
Well put together, mostly aluminum.
No loose screws, burrs or quality issues with build.
Seems accurate, but I'm not the most stable shooter anymore.
Pingy when fired, right in your ear.
550cc air, tube, over barrel and plenum.
Uses a fill probe not a foster fitting.
Was supposed too be over 1000FPS in .25
Factory reg setting 190bar was about 850fps with H&N Heavy Slug 42gr.
Running at 220bar is 925fps.
Needs port work, internal ports are 4mm.
Two row picatinny on bottom.
Trigger is okay, a little stiff but seems to be getting a little better with use. Have not tried adjusting
A bit front heavy. I shoot off tripod so not an issue for me.
With scope, rings, air, full mag, ARCA, Picatinny extension and moderator, a bit over 12lbs
M28x1.0 thread on shroud, DFL A83 moderator adapter.
Side lever action is smooth and easy.
Big magazine, 16 rounds in .25.
Only 1 magazine.
Adjustable butt hook.
With Reximex Silent Force long, backyard friendly.

I think once I can get some ports opened up this will be the monster it is supposed to be.

Snowpeak seems to be hitting on all cylinders. M60B/Zelos and Max 1 are only slightly less capable than guns $2,000 more. Are you going to compete with them, no, are you going to hit what you aim at, absolutely. They also have a whole new series of light weight guns in the pipeline.

Wow! Thats a lot more information than i bargained for. I've got two M60B rifles, one in 22 and one in 25. I've got a 30 caliber kit ordered for one of them probably the 22, from Airgun Archery Fun from Wes in Canada. It's been lost in customs as it shipped almost a month ago! Will have to do some port work and i have a plenum kit ordered from ebay C88 Machining. Some 45 yard targets shots with the Max 1 would be great when you have time. Snowpeak has a few diamonds in the rough it seems and the Max 1 should be a great bench gun when you get it tuned to your liking! All of my Snowpeaks including the M16B 25 cal are excellent shooters. I love them all!

M16B is ugly but just a good rifle. Never heard anything bad about the way it shoots.

The Max 1 came from Wes, I may have been the first pre-order.

I'll print up some paper targets and try to get down the creek bank later this week. No guarantees, if im having a bad day (nerve damage) be a large grouping. My younger neighbor is good so I may have him shoot.

The only Hatsan that has worked well for me is a 25 caliber semi auto Invader. Had it about 4 years, never a problem except it is too heavy to carry in the woods. It's only shot on the bench.
That is my one I dont like. But that is because I got too aggressive and it won't work semiauto with a moderator. It works as a bolt action. Barrage and Bullmaster i have tuned and they work very well. But they are both heavier than the Invader

I agree about the weight. All Hatsans are built like tanks!
And twitchy as hell when you add a moderator to the semiauto.

I figured out there is a regulator pressure, return spring and hammer spring combination that makes the gun work with that specific moderator.

Unfortunately it looks like there is no secret sauce, each gun is different. Put my Bullmaster combination in my nephews Bullmaster and it would not index.
The tubes are good to 3000psi.
The 40cm tube holds 240cc of air
The 20cm tube holds 120cc of air.
The ends are threaded m28x1.0 which is the same thread as the regulator 1/2 of the Cricket.
The tubes come with m28 to M18x1.5 and M28 to M10x1.0 adapters.
Screw the reg in one end, screw the other into gun, tophat, m18 to G1/2-14
U adapter and bottle to the regulator.

I've posted the picture before, this is my AirForce 120cc set up.

Also need a m18 to m18 extension.
The 32mm tube is too wide for the AirForce frame.

That is it below the tophat with a gauge.
I also plug the fill and gauge in the tophat.
Don't want to fill on that side of the regulator.
The gauge because then it fits on my older Talon without the spin-loc.

I hate spin-loc, I fiddle around with my guns and I would rather just screw things in than fiddle with the spin-loc and that stupid wrench. Then there is trying to loosen spin-loc. It just sucks.

LEGO! No, seriously, Gamo! Owned one, shot 3 different kinds. They were ALL less than good. YMMV.
Had three as well and not much luck. Reliable and powerful? Sure, but there's more to life than power. My favorite Gamo was a refurb .177 that rocked, but wouldn't kill ethically. I think they are fine for what they are, just not for me anymore.

Sorry about the delay! You've got the Max shooting well man. Still not hearing much about this rifle on the internet. I thought it would have gotten more attention by now.

JTS! I've got one of their sentrys in .25. The bore was drilled off center at the chamber end. It was so bad that I couldn't use the moderator that came on the rifle. Aviator on GTA gave me an extra 1 he ended up with. I had to do a bunch of work to get it to hold air and remove the trigger creep. It does shoot my.25 27 grain cast pellets pretty good now.

My Airacuda standard is still working great for Me. Maybe I got lucky? lol

I’m working on an Airacuda max right now, 6 of the 8 orings in it are hard and leaking. Two of the orings, the valve to breech and one of the firing valve body orings are still supple. Not impressed.

My experience. A friend has the .25 cal Airacuda max. Fill foster connection shoots air back out when filled. He replaces the oring, fills it, it leaks right down. He is hard of hearing and can’t hear leak. Not interested in trying to fix it. He gave it to me. I fill it, find the leak at firing valve body grub screw. The parts diagram doesn’t list size for those orings. I emailed JTS with that question and JTS replies that it is specific size (Monday), and I order orings. Wednesday another reply comes in, different size. I asked if he was sure, yep. The orings I ordered are the wrong size. So I ordered the right size ones and when I take it apart as each oring is revealed on the air cylinder, it is hard and flattened. The orings on the firing valve body, one is brittle and broken and one is supple. This isn’t an old rifle. I have older BSA, Air Arms and marauders, apparently no hard orings in them, hold air like a vault.

I feel your pain man! I've had three leaking guns lately all giving me a severe headache. Two of the DAR, a gen 2 in 22, and a DAR gen 3 in 25. And my Avenge X 25 tactical i just installed the 400 bottle on. I'm getting more repair time than trigger time! I sent the Avenge X to Wayne at Alien Airguns for a complete reseal as it was a refurb from Pyramid Air and was past the 30 day warranty and I've had it back for two weeks and its working great and holding 4350 psi like it should. On the DAR rifles i sent them an email asking for them to sell me an oring kit for each as they were out of warranty and to my surprise they sent me two complete kits at no charge! Not even any freight. So i checked for leaks around the air tube assembly on the 25 cal and the dawn dish soap and water test worked great exposing the bad spots immediately. I took apart the rifle and replaced those and re assembled and filled with air and its been holding for a week now. I'm taking a break on repairs for now and I'll check the DAR 22 air tube for leaks in the next week or so and i hope its leaking from the same spot as the 25 was. If i can't fix it I'll trade it for something as it's just taking up space now! I'm so tired of these leakers guys.
