I was thinking today about the different brand guns I've owned over the years, and I got thinking about a few brands I'd own again, and some I won't. I would gladly own another daystate or jts one day if I get a hankering.

But a brand I likely won't own again is FX. I never say never, but I've owned a handful of them and for my needs they're just not my cup of tea. From a performance aspect, they are great. From a build quality and reliability standpoint, I think they leave something to be desired. Never been a huge fan of the ultra accessible external adjustments. I love external adjustments, just not ones that get bumped and moved so easily. I've had multiple cocking linkage failures, leaks for days that I could never get to stop, stripped bottle adapters, faulty regs, wonky barrel liners and some other minor issues. Overall I just wasn't impressed with thier build quality and designs, even though when they weren't broke they were accurate shooters. For the price though, I did expect more. A couple other brands im not interested in any more are benjamin and gamo, but those I would say are mid class guns and come accordingly.

So , of the brands you've owned or still own which would you stay away from and why?

I'd just like to add - please keep this civil - this looks like it has a potential to become a flame fest.

My brand is AEA. I've owned a Zeus and a .45 Semi. My experience was terrible QC and parts that fit, but not great. The 45 semi blew out it's own valve because I wasn't using the singluar 1 slug it could shoot. Never again for me, but I know other have had good success with the smaller caliber offerings - so it is truly YMMV.

They called a war "civil" once, and it was anything but. The reality is that the truth hurts, somebody, usually. I would just advise being introspectively honest, a lot of the complaints I read about, the people knew about, or were warned about beforehand. Especially the two brands already listed.

I would have to say U & H also ,BUT, only because of the particular model(s) I've had. I had Excellent customer service from H USA for the issue at hand though. The other, a G 2 , was just not a design that worked for me although there have been some design changes lately.

Agreed. I never owned one but the more I read kept Me away.

For Me it would Be Air Venturi "anything". My Avenger Failed, as well as an Air Tank. Just My bad luck and I am sure that many like them. This is just My personal view.
I was just going to say nova vista which makes the avenger, liberty, Aspen, and freedom. The Liberty is just fine now after getting a bunch of after market parts from Duy. My Aspen is just a $400 paper weight because they don't sell replacement parts to fix it.
