Well tired of waiting and small game season is coming so i went ahead and bought myself an early christmas present! A taipan veteran 2 tactical! Called Talon Tunes and Tony says they are good slug shooters so im going to find out! Should be here end of next week or so. Will post back how it works when i get it!

Yea my body is so beat up i don’t walk around much anymore. Its only 38” so not overly long. But i will let everyone know how it goes. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it and it seems as though everyone that talks about theirs are happy. We will see. Here’s a vid of Rick with a 22

The Cricket Tac 2 60 wasn't too bad for length even with a Tatsu. But she had a heft.

Well just got it,mounted a helix and changed the grip to an ergo 0*. Shot a few shots to sight in and get some velocities. Pretty good at 11 yds 1 hole groups with 33.4 jsb and 34.9 nsa. Just to show how temp humidity and altitude affect Tony tuned to 978 fps with jsb and I’m getting 955 fps. The gun seems quiet, nice trigger bottle arrangement makes for a bit of reach with the left arm or you have to choke up on it. No matter ill be shooting off styx so? Seems good so far now to 100 yds and see what it does!

If you’re looking for a 25 slug gun you need to look no farther! 80 shots on the reg @ 68 fpe. 33.49 jsb at 960 fps

To be honest i was really surprised at how nice it shoots. Saw some on you tube but don’t always believe it all cause it usually takes just a bit for a gun to settle in especially shooting slugs. Really expected it to fall apart at 100 but it did well and i had no wind flags and was just single loading and firing away. Might be ugly but i don’t care so long as it shoots this good or gets a little better!

Preach! Guns (air and PB), motorcycles, soda, whatever. No need to be overly brand loyal with so many good options out there. “Collect ‘em all” and see what you like!

Had it out today to sight at 45 and check drop @100. Put 9 out of 10 in an inch and three eights. I guess i had to pull 1?

Well ive been shooting this a little more. Tried some long range 340 yds, crazy holdover all the way down to the post for the crosshair but was able to hit 1 out of 5 shots on a 12”x12” plate. Need to get some adjustable rings for it i guess before i try again! Also shot a hp field target match yesterday and shot 33 out of 44, its almost like cheating with the 34.9 nsa slugs the thing shoots like a 22 lr! Have to adjust my dope a little better and i think it would be able to clean the course except maybe for the standing shots only got 2 out of 4. Its hard to understand how this gun can shoot slugs so well and Daystate can’t get a slug barrel out!

Brother I feel that. Let's goooo Daystate/Brk! Glad this one is working out for ya, I got my to shoot slugs, why use it for pellets, my S510 skates circles around it, and 30/32fpe is sweeeet for hunting. My 2 options with it are: put my tail between my legs, drop reg alot and shoot 18.13 or 20gr lights and get more S-P-F and consistency or keep shooting it as is with Mrds and have fliers here and there. Should get less pass-throughs being a .25 cal?! Happy hunting, keep us informed

How would you compare the side lever forward cocking lever effort? What other brand’s lever effort would you compare it to? How is the trigger compared to Gen 1 Vets?

Have no experience with gen 1 so i can’t help there. Trigger is very nice didn’t even adjust so very good out of box ( i like a 8 oz trigger) side lever not bad but i didn’t thing it was quite as nice as the ghost( haven’t shot it in a while so?)

VERY choked barrels, on at least the 5-6 gen 1 Veterans barrels I had in hand and/or own.
