Companies that ship pellets well. or Not...

In my experience, Pyramyd Air is lapping the field when it comes packaging pellets for shipment, and has been for a long time.

And we all know what it looks like when pellet tins are tossed in a cardboard box, maybe with a token air pillow included. Dented (I'm being kind) tins, tins busted open with pellets all over the insides of the box, pellets with mangled skirts (and I mean inside the tins as well).

That said, at least one company has stepped up - Field Supply.
Just ordered 6 tins of pellets, and they were shrink wrapped together, then 360° double bubble wrapped, and then that bundle was fit into a box with all airgaps completely stuffed to make the bundle immobile. "Five Stars" from me.

There must be other companies that do it right. I'm guessing Trenier would, and I've never had trouble with Airguns of Arizona shipping.
I've heard horror stories about Midway USA though.

Should we get a little list going? I think it would be worth it just to save some of the community from the hassle and aggravation.

I buy mine from Walmart . Walk in grab some . There never damaged and arrive here in pretty good shape.

Plus one on PA packaging being great. This can go without saying but on the not so recommended...Amazon! Could get lucky but don't count on it. Got some 13gr Jsb heavies and they were 50% unusable, that buck or 2 we saved....lol. D&L Air and AGS here in Canada are stellar. All bubble wrapped up nice and tightly together.

ive had good luck with PA and AoA both not really ordered much from others I bought some from bullet central no real issue may a tin once in a while but for the most part no issues.

I've only ordered pellets online from 3 companies...Amazon, Midway and Pyramyd. The only ones that arrived undamaged were from Pyramyd.

Pyramyd AIR, Trenier Airguns, Airgun Depot, Utah Airguns did good in packaging my pellets. Pyramyd and Trenier have consistently packed my pellets well over the years.

PA always great. Amazon is awful. Got 2 tins yesterday, both tins were inside a large heavy bubble bag, and both were individually sealed in cardboard with plastic cover. However, both looked like they had survived Noah's flood.cardboard of both were heavily water damaged

PA is great. The obvious trend is buy from an Airgun Shop your pellets will most likely be fine, other places.... not so much.
Unless you buy at a store, of course.

The Pellet Shop has ship them to me in cut out foam blocks. Very good.

Here’s a photo of a tin of Benjamin single dies that I ordered from Amazon. Since they will never ship pellets like it should be done, I believe it has to do with how long it stays in transit as to how much it gets beat up. It’s all relative, transit time equals damage time .

Mine saturday from Amazon were in the brown paper bag like this. Bag was crinkled, but dry. No moisture stains on outside. It was the pellet wrapper themselves that was water damaged.

most consistently well packed are the Pellet Shop and Trenier.
I've had good luck with most of the others, Amazon excepted, but not as good as the above.

When I peeled the tape off, the tape holding the lids on went with it, and so did the pellets. Wasted most of a full tin. I contacted them, and explained the issue. Said they would look at it. Next batch came the same way. Which, is why I mention it. I hope to help you avoid it.
