Introductions Hello all from Phoenix

Hello everyone, new guy from the Phoenix area and new to air gunning. Well sort of, had an 880 for close to 20 yrs and just did some plinking and rodent control. Recently battled some house sparrows and ring necks and wanted something better but still cheap. After reading through some forums I found renewed interest in target shooting along with the wealth of info out there.

With the old 880 plastics beginning to fail, I picked up a Diana Chaser on sale and that gives decent optic mounting. Just using a red dot now since I'm not comfortable shooting past 15 yd at pests with the lower power and only the dot. It's been fun but finding the co2 better suited for plinking rather then leave a cyl loaded after a few varmit shots and risk seal damage over time. So now am looking to get a pcp soon and possibly check out some FT and/or benchrest in the area once the heat breaks.

Currently looking at the Notos and Stormrider trying to stay under the 3-400 mark knowing there are other accessories I'll need. But like all hobbies, it can get spendy quick. I have a decent shade tree auto shop now after decades of wrenching so not coming in blind lol.

Greetings from Ohio, fellow HAMster! One of the Crosman 3622 kits with a steel breech kit ordered from Pyramyd might be another option. Order the "Winchester" 4xAO and that'll be around $300 if you install the breech yourself. Or order one with the breech plus a rear sight from Airgun Revisions to save time.

They are the Eurasian collared dove, they can be hunted here year round with no limit. They also compete with the native morning doves

I looked at that too, don't mind working on something but it's a shame the 3622 doesn't come with the steel or an aluminum breach. Have to check out Airgun Revisions, not familiar with that company.

If you are wanting to stay below 300, give a good look at the gamo arrow, or the arrow classic. The classic has the really nice wood stock, puts out 27ftlbs energy in 22. The standard has the black synthetic furniture, and shoots at 18ish ft lbs in 22. They are both hand pump friendly, as long as you don't shoot them dry, and accuracy is definitely extremely excellent. I own both of them, and just jumped into the Avenger last week.

Agree, I have a Synthetic Stock .22 and love It. I've been waiting for the Arrow Classic with that nice wood stock and bigger tank, Gamo just sent me an Email that they are back In stock and ordered one a few days ago!

They definitely have a bigger punch than the standard does. They like the 18 grain pellets too. The 14.3s not as accurate in my classic as they are in the standard arrow.

I received my Arrow Classic a few weeks ago (Gamo Customer Service Was Awesome Shoutout To Amanda) and put It through Its paces. I'm Impressed, this thing Is a Tack Driver using my fav pellets .22 JSB Hades Diablo 15.89 grs I'm getting one hole at a little over 25 yards. It's got more power than the Synthetic Stock version (Bigger Air Tank) Fit N Finish Is very good and I love the Look N Feel of that Classic Wood Stock. I had to wait a while to order It and the wait was worth It, Thumbs Up for me! Forgot to mention The Arrow Classic Is only available from Gamo's Website and Customer Service did me a solid with Free Shipping Too!
