Pointed pellets are not accurate out of any of my guns to date. Whats the point??

Have a Gamo big cat in 25 caliber that is remarkably accurate to 40 yds with pointed H&N pellets. It is the only rifle I have ever seen that would shoot a pointed pellet.
Was it the H&N brass tipped Hornets?! They are extremely accurate! But oddly enough the most inaccurate pointed pellet of mine is also an H&N.. the silver points were horrid no matter how fast or slow I sent them. (And the S510 is not overly pellet fussy!) I have a very large steel pellet trap and my groups were so big some pellets were ricocheting off the side!

Man you're correct on these Hornets brother. They are very accurate out of my 25 caliber air rifles! Those brass tips are mean as well. It's the only pointed pellets I've ever shot that groups well i still have a tin left but I just never use them as they are super expensive!

The Gamo big cat likes the H&N Diablo Spitzkugeln I accidentally discovered. I ordered some pellets, got a different order with my name on it. The store sent the right ones and said to keep the others. I tried the pellets and the only thing that shot them was the Gamo.
The only Hornets I have tried are .177 caliber, and another Gamo (BSA) pcp, an old Gamo contender, is very accurate with them.

I can’t believe how terrible the Crosman pointed shoot compared to the domes. I say this because they aren’t really that pointy, just a little more than a dome. All I know is the rifles I have that shoot Crosman domes of HP’s well don’t shoot the pointer for beans. I bought a tin for dirt cheap, so they will stay in the shed to be tested with a future rifle
