Hi all,

I picked up my Diana 27 last night, and reminded myself how much I like shooting the little rifle. I class it with the HW30, though it is a sleeker rifle than my 30.

For all that I like shooting the more powerful / flatter shooting springers, I truly enjoy the little ones too.

Of the "youth sized" rifles, which are your favorites?

I'd call the Diana 34 a middleweight for sure, both in size and power level.

For this premise, I'd definitely be thinking of truly small adult rifles. Slavia 620, Diana 24, HW30, those Norica made Crosman 0035's, Gamo 300/Expo, the Haenel 303, some of the Webly's, etc.
Many of them are.likely to have simple triggers though. More's the shame.

I do have an old "BB" gun in storage somewhere. You cocked it by pushing the barrel in. Had a feed point where you inserted BBs and would hold several. You couldn't easily pour the BBs in there and back when the BBs came in a paper cylinder, it held about a cap full. Had open sights and wasn't particularly accurate or powerful-probably enough to put an eye out. If I find it, I'll check the brand.
