Thinking out loud; sell my PCPs and keep my Springers

I’m not gonna lie, I suffer a bit from the sunk cost fallacy in some ways. I can keep spending more to try and make what ever it is work for me. I just can’t let go things that I pay my hard earned money for or my time.

I still have that BSA Meteor Super bought a new barrel for it. I don’t shoot it, but I’m not going to sell it.

I remember one conversation we had some time ago and you talked about your dad giving you a rash of s**t while you were laying in hospital a bed.

I don’t know if that occurred while you were fighting off encephalitis, you never said, but I certainly would’ve remembered if you had. I lost my mother to the complications of that illness when I was a teenager.

. My Helix scopes are all gen 1. The 97K will likely get a FFP 4-16. I have never had a .20, and was intrigued about trying one.

If you dont already have that scope I would not get one! I have a 12x Airmax on my TX and to me a 9-16 power scope is perfect for springers indeed. However that model (4-16)of Helix rates pretty poorly, crappy eyebox, and less than stellar glass.... glad I got the 6x24 Helix SFP gen1 on my Ghost. Will be swapping it out for a FFP Gen 2 Helix hopefully next year.

Thats kinda my point I guess . Money spent, curiosity/wonder is gone, not so impressive vs your other much cheaper lead slingers....your sitting at home after shooting your airguns. You look at them all and realize Hokey Smokes i spent what on that one?! I had that feeling with my Ghost too, but then....It dumped a pigeon @98Y with an Mrd...(I call tell you all about it again?) and the feeling disappeared.
Still a struggle when family/coworkers weep when I tell them how much I spent on it though
A Gently used B.W. should still fetch a good amount of cash for....more Airguns!

@Danman yeah, I have two. I haven't really noticed any issues with it, other than they are on the heavy side. I'm pretty fussy about stock fit, and ring height. I have a couple of 6-24s, one is a SFP on the Red Wolf. The other is a FFP that will not have a home for a bit.

Oh no. This is a most pleasant surprise. I'm excited to see it myself. To your point a .20 in blue laminate just became available.

I just sent two top shelf PCP rifles off a few days ago. Replacing them with a HW97 and HW50.

Well, it's been a month. I don't regret the decision at all. Loving my new rifles.

Beautiful guns! I love my Springers, HW30 &50 but can’t shoot them at present because of ongoing neck problems. I am limited to PCPs from a rest. I am hoping to get back to the HW30 in a week or so.
