Ok, haven't done that yet on any regulator but I have some metal to metal paste. I didn't buy an special paste. O-ring lube as well. And I have a Nova liberty that needs regulator work.

You don't need special anything. Use 2000 grit 3M automotive sandpaper if you are worried about doing too much, because then you won't. Use the same silicone oil you use for all your other orings on your regs orings too, it works fine.

Sitting here in Sweden thinking about the new gun that was delivered at home today. Oddly have not found anything airgun related near where I am at. Well meetings all week so no time for play.
Had a bunch of folk over today to help eat some leftover burgers and dogs from cookout/picnic yesterday. The secondary purpose was to corrupt, I mean introduce, some to the seductive wiles of airguns. So... I pulled out the best airguns I know, a bunch of pumpers, and let them experience. The seed of air need has been sown, and I look forward to watching it grow and produce fruit.
The Air Venturi Ascent was a major player in this, and has won over at least one as he had lots of fun freehand shooting it at targets and seeing success. That was with the pack-in scope still on it.
Now it's time to wipe my leading ladies down and tuck them in for the night, and put my pinty 6-24x50 ffp scope on the Ascent to continue her work tomorrow.
For those in the states, may you have a blessed day of rest from your labors tomorrow.

How do you like the Pinty scope?
I haven't gotten to test it yet, other than looking through before install. Nice and clear, zoom is easy to rotate through with the throw lever, eyebox is not bad from 6-24. As expected, tighter at 24, but still not bad. 20-infinity for parallax on the side. Resettable zero stop for wind and yard adjustment, but I haven't messed with those or installed the battery to try illuminated reticle yet.
Dang..., that thing's a beast! Would be nice off the bench but would be a bit too much for me as a field rifle.
Finally feeling almost back to normal after my recent cold. I can tell because my airgun obsession is back in full swing this morning! 
Fired 45, expensive (Altaros) slugs through my Uragan2 700 .25 this morning. It's shooting with enough shot-to-shot precision I think I will use these 49.5gr. Altaros solid-nose for my coyote slug this year. I normally use either AVS 44gr or H&N 44gr, both hollow-point. I feel that with the lower power of my air rifle that penetration is of greater importance than expansion for shooting coyote so no issue with the Altaros being a solid.
Also fired my 250Z .22 over the Chrony this morning. I ever so slightly adjusted the 250z regulator to add an additional 5fps to the AEA 21.9gr.
While the AEA 21.9gr shoot very well from the 250z..., the rifle does throw an occasional 'flyer' with that pellet. The flyers are not enough out of the group to make any difference for hunting Rock Chucks (what I bought the 250z for), but they happen and it annoys me. So, I am trying some minor reg & hammer adjustments right around my current tune in hopes of solving the flyer issue. If I don't achieve success solving the flyer I am not going to worry about it as the rifle shoots those pellets so well overall. It's so easy to 'over think' this hobby to the point where it's not fun so I don't let myself get stressed over the little stuff.

Push a pellet through the barrel carefully and see if it collects any extra lead. If it does you may need to polish it some. You may have a rough spot that’s picking up lead and letting go of it when there’s too much to hold on toFinally feeling almost back to normal after my recent cold. I picked up a cleaning kit I saw at WallyWorld, a Barra Rattler it was less $12
I’m going to put a bit of heat shrink on the end of it so I don’t have to worry about the braided metal cable strands possibly getting caught on an O-ring or scratching a barrel.

I had the exact same problem with those pellets in mine. They were the only pellets that I even considered to shoot out my 250z and they would usually throw one flyer out of five shots. No matter what size slug you think your gun likes, you should try the JSB KO .216 20.83gr slug, or the the Zan .217 23gr, no flyers. My gun also didn't like any slugs from H&N or NSA, which I was not too happy about either.Finally feeling almost back to normal after my recent cold. I kind of wonder what's up with Walmart lately selling higher end airgun supplies? It would be interesting to know if someone higher up actually cares, or if some MBA told them they could make a quick buck. Knowing the former would certainly influence my decision to shop there. I wonder if the bean counters account for that?

Shot the Max 1 .25 with jsb exact heavy 33.95 and aea diablo 33.9 and didn't have great success at 900-880 getting tighter groups than 3/4 to 1" at 25 yards. I shot a bit rushed as I didn't have enough time but I wasn't the only issue. This year has been one of my busiest....anywho it will be the last time I shoot w the 3-12x 50 bug buster. I have an optisan 5-20x50 I need to grab from storage and put on for a better view. Turn up the regulator and try again or maybe drop my regulator and shoot some barracudas as I had a bit better success 50 yards out with those.
My goal this week is get set up to shoot bills competition and rebuild/clean up the regulators on 2 rifles.
I cut my frame for the targets, I have a few t-post I'll bring up to the land and that part will be ready. Man what I wouldn't give to just go out all alone for a few days shooting and testing with zero distractions. Hope y'all had a great weekend!

For the other things (Ascent, JSB pellets, and NSA slugs), I too was surprised. But for the Barra rattler cleaning kit, a few things.
1) It's a new product for Barra, in the last week or two.
2) Barra was started by former Walmart executive(s) and is nestled near headquarters in NW Arkansas.
So I am not surprised to hear it is at Walmart, but I am liking the potential of this new trend.
