What'cha doing air gun related today?

Got up at 645 this morning, grabbed my Blue Streak and tin of pellets, and headed out to the yard range. After some zero verification shots, I shot my bell 13 times in honor of the original 13 colonies turned states for America's 250 before family and heat were up. #letfreedomring
I have the Sumo on my MS because I am getting most of my shooting down at 6am, before my kid wakes up.

Yesterday I had a little time between filleting trout, and watching motocross on tv so I grabbed the 250z. This rifle just amazes me with how well the regulator functions and how accurate it is with pellets!

Wind was very light but switching according to my wind vane/flags. The AEA 21.9gr at 950fps were grouping but the wind was pushing the POI around a little.

Here are a few 'cherry picked' 5-shot groups at 50yds. But, to be honest, the worst group fired wasn't much larger than these shown below.

Just finished firing my Daystar .22 this morning. Range was 38yds which is my second zero for my ground squirrel rifles. The Daystar is my most accurate air rifle.

It's not actually the same rifle as what I took out of the box when it was new. I had a Lyra rifle that was more accurate than the Daystar. Both rifles share the same barrel (and most other parts) so I swapped the barrels. I also preferred the biathlon style cocking lever on the Lyra rifle so I swapped it as well. So, the Daystar now runs the barrel and the cocking lever from the Lyra. Also, I am running it with a floated barrel instead of with the stock barrel band.

I modified the trigger to single-stage and it breaks with zero take-up at 8ozs.

Also, cut the hammer spring from the stock length to get the power range where I wanted it with the 18s. The rifle is non-regulated and gets 30-shots on the top of the bell-curve with normally 8-9fps ES.

Lightly modified Daystar is death to ground squirrels!

This rifle does not throw 'flyers'. Any variation in POI is from wind changes or my own shooting error.

I Installed a 20cc plenum on my Nova liberty .22. before I did I turned down the regulator and if anyone knows this rifle there is no gauge after the reg and I do not know what it's at currently. I shot 2 magazines of barracuda match 21.14gr. started at 1000 fps(air pressure at 3000 psi) and with every shot crept lower and after 20 shots I was down to 1900 psi 820 fps. So I'm guessing my regulator is not working and it's shooting unregulated. Time to repair my 1st regulator I suppose or remove and inspect it?
If I do, does anyone recommend a regulator lube/"butter"? I'm checking into it myself as well, tutorials and such.

Seen good words about Air Shootist Reg Butter

Sent my Zelos back to Umarex. It has been leaking since the first time I filled it up. I fixed 2 leaks, but it is still leaking and getting worse, so I gave up. The mags are so hard to load into the gun you just about have to use a rubber mallet to drive them in. I have the worst luck of anyone my wife has ever met. I was born under the sign of the turd. The Maple mag I bought worked perfectly. Not sure what to do. I don't think they will give me back all of my money, and I spent $100 on add Ons for the gun, or they will charge me to fix the gun that they sent to me broken. It has already cost me another $30 dollars to ship it back to them. This is exactly why I am afraid to get anything besides Airforce guns, but I really wanted something with a magazine to coon hunt with because they can be tuff little guys. Oh well now the waiting starts to see what they have to say after they get it. :(

I bet that they will send you a new one 👍. That’s what they did for me with my Origin when the cocking arm snapped off.

QC must be all off. My first Zelos has a slow leak. It was brand new so I sent it back. I got another one and it has been great. My factory mags fit perfectly, I have 4 total factory mags now.
