What'cha doing air gun related today?

Last edited:
At around 9:30 pm I shot a rat in the chicken pen with my Notos with Zulus and Crossman Premiers. I heard the thud and heard it thrashing around and squeaking then nothing. After about 10 minutes of seeing nothing, I went in but could not see it with my head lamp so will look again later this morning.

I looked again but could not find him, oh well, maybe I will switch to JSBs.

I shot the M357 with the wadcutters some. I had put a green dot on it to see how I could do but put the 2x7 back on so I could get better groups. The 115gr were ok and fine for plinking but I won't buy any more. I was very pleased with the 75gr WC, 1079fps 193.8fpe the only thing I don't like about the 75gr is they print a bit high and to the right so can't shoot other ammo without resighting but cheaper than pellets and I liked the 148gr WC 849fps 237fpe. There are a couple of other slugs I want to try but I think I am going to crank up the power next time just for fun, I only need 2 full power shots. I only shot at 30 yards this time and only one group each because I wasted too much time with the green dot, but I think it would be okey for close range deer hunting and takes off about 1 pound of carry weight.

Put a Pinty 3-12x44 scope on my blue streak and went out to sight it in and pellet test. That was when I discovered that I can't cock the gun because of the optical bell blocking the bolt handle. 🙈20260501_154421.webp

So... I switched it up and decided to stretch it out with the Crosman M4-177, 49 yards, off-hand, with factory "iron sights". VideoCapture_20260501-165207.webpTook a few sighters, thought I knew my hold, and shot 10 shots at target. Took a look to score it up (17) and realized shots were sitting higher than expected. 20260501_162043.webpSo I shot it again with a new hold at top of orange circle. 2 called pulled shots, but I'm not upset at a 45.20260501_163121.webp
29 shots at 10 pumps/shot... 290 pumps for today's therapy workout. 💪

That's why Sheridan went to a bent bolt in the later rifles. How do you like that scope mount?

I brought my 2 hatsan 125s out on the front porch. 1 is a .177 and the other is a .22. The trigger is much better on the .177. I was shooting bowling pins and trying to knock them over. I knocked 2 of them over with the .177 at around 35 yards but couldn't knock the last 2 over at 40 yards with either the .177 or the .22.

Well, he didn't get away this time. The Notos and Zulus planted one in the right side of his head. I love that Zulus it is so awesome. My wife was watching the security cameras and told me where he was, so she is taking credit for it. :ROFLMAO:

Teamwork, way to go. Big rat compared to what I’ve seen here.

The intermount rail? Seems decent enough, it came to me already installed and no rear sight. The scope was fairly simple to install on it, but it is very rigid and minimal for picatinny bar slots (1 forward, and 1 aft). I am considering a compact Pinty 4x32 scope with fiber optic sights on top to try on it, or I will just get a peep sight and shoot it that way. Still debating with myself.
