What'cha doing air gun related today?

After spending the day debating what route I wanted to go with optic for my blue streak (crossbow, LPVO, or compact 4x32) I realized tonight that I have some high picatinny scope rings off a previous scope. The .4-.5" it raised the scope was perfect and I can now cock the gun. So pellet testing and general shooting shenanigans, here I come (tomorrow)!

That being said, I'm still contemplating optics options. I need to lay em all out, and make decisions on who needs what. The 3-12x44 scope I put on my streak was intended for my Vanguard, that is currently wearing a temporary 3-9x40 I had removed from my Diamondback because I think I want to keep it open sights. It may end up on my Dragonfly Mk2. 🤔 But I am curious how a crossbow scope would do with a pumper, plus the ongoing curiosity about playing with LPVO and the compact 4x32.

Got my first starling of the "season". Working away in my shop with the S510 at the ready and i took a peek every now and then out the windows...I keep a loaded mag in it as starlings here are crazy wary normally. 2 were out in the lawn with a Robin and when I opened the door, the Robin took off but the starlings stayed put ( that literally never happens). Hades 15.89gr @900fps 30Y..... Anchored. We were treated to some snow/sleet/ice pellets in the afternoon 🫤

Wow you sound like me; I have been bouncing scopes all over and resighting in everything with putting the Zulus on the Notos, which I never dreamed I would do, to clean up the rats in the chicken pen and just wanting a bit more power than 2x7 on the M357 for when I am shooting on the bench. Thinking about getting a 1x10 for the M357 or putting the 3x12 on it. Considering getting another gun but feel like I need to wait and see what new ones come out around Christmas time as they do and some more pellets and slugs. I think my wife needs to stop messing around and win the lotto so I could have a clearer vision of the future. :ROFLMAO:

I made a new target stencil. Based on 100yd benchrest. I got rid of everything but the 9-10x, so that I could fit 9 in an 8”x8” square. I figured anything below a 9 doesn’t count anyway. I shoot at a 24”x24” plate so I should be able to get quite a few practice bulls up. I’ll have to get a photo that’s not out of focus. The red stencil in the background is the full 109yd target, done so that it doesn’t clog or can be used with a marker. But it wastes real estate. They have removable handles to help keep the paint off of my hands. IMG_6886.webp

A few more photos of the stencil in use. That white thing is a magnet.

took my venturi pup2 out today to test some pellets today --i know it and my striker sure have different tastes--i have to go over the targets to see who likes what--had ordered 11 different pellets to test with 10 shot groups,i like the results better than 5 shot--both tell you what they dont like--funny both did well with crossman H.P. and Norma Heavy- nice to have a couple of cheappies to shoot for plinking

Today I pulled out all of my "I care about optics potential" airguns and laid them out to consider and determine my optics situation. I'm still not sure what I will ultimately do with some, like the Lieva, but I did order 3 new scopes to add to the mix.20260503_155351.webp

Also, spent some time working on design of commemorative coin for US 250th and the fact it is the Year of the Pumper. 20260503_163621.webp
