What'cha doing air gun related today?

This was all on the table in my florida room, i didn't get close to my actual bench haha
My florida room has become my work area because the baby monitor reception doesn't reach my bench.
Baby monitor reception woes be real! I can halfway get reception sometimes in my gazebo, if the moon is in the correct phase. So I gave up and dump it on the older kids, usually.

The DonnyFL M12x1.25 Tanto endcap arrived yesterday. I affixed it with my 22/25 Tanto on my 177 Bullshark.
Indoor testing of the factory baffles and shroud vs just the DonnyFL Tanto show it is is quieter. The factory shroud and baffles work great for the 177 cal, I was just curious what it could do. The rifle was 27" with the factory shroud, with the Tanto straight on the barrel it is 29".

This Bullshark is shooting 13gr Zan slugs 900 fps for 23 FPE.

Now I think this might go on my P25 25 cal and I will order a 177/22 Tanto for my Bullshark. or I get a Koi for my 25 cal.

Zan 13gr 177 10m gel

So these are entering at about 880 fps. I wanted to see what happens with different sections depths of gel. The slug was collected later down the path by single sheets of kevlar supported loosely and spaced. The arrow means it went through, the gel did not stop it.

I polished the lead into the chamber on the new Lothar barrel to help the longer slugs seat better in the new LW barrel for the EQ… then proceeded to finally see my dream slug shooting properly out of my gun finally!

So this weekend I’ll be chasing coyotes with a mag full of 71gr Hybrid Boattails courtesy of Rich over at BARS slugs.

And for little critters I’ll be shooting 55gr and 62 gr slugs from Varmintknockers.

Y’all I’ll admit I wasn’t really on the Lothar bandwagon but I decided to just give it a shot when I had a chance to buy this barrel… and I’m completely on the bandwagon now. The dang thing really seems to love anything I feed it. It has a bore diameter of .306 but I’ve been shooting all the left over ammo I’ve had left over from .303, .304 and .306…. The 71gr boats are doing 890fps for 125fpe and I’m pretty sure at .304 they aren’t getting a proper seal.

All this without touching the reg. I have absolutely adjusted the hammer spring but right now it shoots the 71gr HBT at 890fps and the 55gr .303 Varmintknockers at 960fps on the same ZERO. I only have to change the ballistic profile if I wanna use the ballistic calculator on the Zulus.

I don’t say this to show off any kind of tuning prowess lol but to say if you’re on the fence about Lothar Barrels with Poly rifling then just pull the trigger hahaha. Also it’s better to be lucky than good and I think I got lucky as hell with this setup… finally my buddy with the fancy haji-tuned gauntlet will stop punking me with his big fat griffin slugs I couldn’t shoot before haha

I did some more tuning to my Bullshark. I now have 13gr Zan going 940 FPS for 25 FPE.
I also removed the read shroud piece. Uglyshark is ready to do some pesting.

Still messing around with the CR147 I got recently but took a break to drag out my 1974 760.
Its a good shooter but my eyes are so bad you wouldn't believe Im shooting at all.
Im having cataract surgery next month and hoping for a new start.
Been trying different pellets in this gun and these seem real good. Its about the best I can do.

Left Nebraska for a visit to my mom in North Arkansas. 8 acres of open land to shoot while I visit for a few days. I brought the umarex notos, Nova liberty in 177 and 22 cal. Going to be able to shoot past 25 or so yards finally. And most importantly I get to hugy mom. And eat her food ha!
I was able to plink the 22 Nova liberty for the 1st time with a few different pellets and the action is so smooth. This is the 1st shooting of this rifle I've been able to do. The wood stock broke when I purchased the rifle and I didn't insure it and haven't tried to repair it. So I removed the plastic stock on the 177 Liberty to test it out. I'm buying a hopefully good looking piece of walnut tomorrow from a friend in the area and I'll bring it home and make a new stock....in the meantime it was accurate to 25 yards plinking 3 inch hanging targets so I'll see what it has tomorrow. Maybe turn the regulator up too if I have time.
