What'cha doing air gun related today?

I was able to shoot the .177 Liberty with new JSB monster 13.43. 25 yards out laying on the ground and the Notos. In 40 degree weather the Notos shot Norma heavy 830-815 fps and the jsb I tried at 930-920. I need a place closer to shoot at a longer distance. Or find time to run out to land in my family out of town an hour and a half. Anyways it was fun and both rifles like the pellets. I bought 56 tins of Norma's the last week and a half. Hope y'all had a great day

Been printing moderator adapters and found a real weakness. The male threaded end for the moderator, especially 1/2-20, snaps off under moderate torque. Just tightening the moderator will do it.

So I went about it a little different. Instead of m30x1 male to m18x1 male I printed a m30x1 male to m18x1 female. Then used a m18x1 male to male to connect the adapter to the moderator.

Now it would take a lot more force to break the adapter.

upside, I can buy various male adapters and always have a metal connection to the moderator. M12-1.25, M14x1, M14-1.25, m20x1.0, 1/2-20, 1/2-28

No more $40 DFL adapters, print the gun end cap and a $5 male to male. No issue with the end cap, just like a printed moderator.

A textbook ethical dispatch 👍.

I created a target using ChatGPT. I ordered some labels to print them, they will be stuck on some little signs and I can set them at various distances.

Getting my Krait ready for agama dispatching

These little signs are plastic so they hold up to a bunch of shots.

I was set up for BillM’s 100y Challenge, the winds were only 2-3 but my Taipan wasn’t doing too hot.

I moved in to 50y and it was still bad, started having the “what the $&@! went wrong now?” moments…

So I took a deep breath and decided to start with the basics, clean the barrel.

I realized that I have been putting a lot of lead through it with all the testing of the regulator(s) factory and HUMA also trying out slugs.

I’ve had it for about 14 months and cleaned the barrel for only the second time now and haven’t polished it yet either.

Things came back together at 50y but it was too late for the 100y.

Took advantage of the "warm" weather, and lack of wind to finally take my first shots with the Pinty Vanguard. I think the gun has more bark, and less bite, than my Pinty Timber, and the factory moderator did little to tame it to my ears. But quickly (8 shots) got it rough sighted in with the factory fiber optic sights and then began "slynging lead". It dropped all 3 NRA critters, 3 army men, a boar and a duck. Then I ended my available shots by lobbing a Norma Golden Trophy FT Heavy 17.6gr pellet 45 yards to ring my bell. I think she'll do just fine. Around 25 shots from ~225bar-75bar
