All things being equal I would make a few changes but all things are not equal. Price point being the big one. I have a HW100 & HW110 and on any given day my MROD will shoot better groups. You can buy a MROD for half the the price of the HW110 and a third of the HW100. This difference between the MROD and the HW's is ergonomics and cosmetics with one exception, the magazine. It is a piece of crap, so much so, I was going to sell it before I discovered the single shot loader from Maple Custom Products. The furniture is stove wood grade at best but again that holds the price down. I have a Boyd stock on order for the MROD. I think it is wroth the extra $200.

I agree the magazines are crap but Maple Custom solves that issue. I would like to see a side lever instead of the bolt & maybe an adjustable regulator but that’s not a deal breaker.

And they could keep it in the same price range as the current one with the side lever “upgrade”. I mean my Akelas are decently smooth versions of what could be built into the MRod block.

Years ago, I had a Gen 1 Mrod. It was a good shooting rifle. I thought the stock was rather plain jane, typical of what came out of Crosman's shop and characteristic of most of their guns. So, I reshaped it and shaved about a pound of wood off it. Much more attractive. A side lever would be nice too.

I'm still on the block of getting my first pcp I really like the maurader have read many good things , plus available parts and upgrades. I want a side lever Have looked at kral k , jts wonder if rich could put me one together like those two.

This is just my opinion: the MROD is the biggest bang for you dollar when it comes to PCPs. I would not get rid of mine. If the side lever is a necessity for you I would go with the Weihrauch HW110. It cost a little more but is well worth the money. There are a lot of different opinions on the HW110 vs the HW100 and I have both but from a functional standpoint there is not much difference, if any.

Look for a used Daystate Huntsman or Reverse for not much more than a new Mrod. A much more highly refined rifle.

The MROD is the most quiet PCP I've ever been exposed to. Side lever would be nice but not necessary. My gen2 is many years old and has had thousands of pellets thru it to the point I had to send it to Rich at AR for a rebuild this spring. Good as new now. I have 4 magazines I bought when I purchased the gun. I keep them loaded and in rotation and never had any problems with any of them. Am I doing something wrong?
