The new Gen 3 Benjamin Marauder PCP air rifle was launched at the IWA OutdoorClassics show 2026, in Nuremberg, Germany.
This new model is a completely different gun from any previous Marauder. There’s almost no parts in common – so far as I understand – with the previous, long-running Gen 2 version.
Instead we have side lever-cocking, higher-capacity magazines, an adjustable regulator, higher-capacity HPA bottle and a higher operating pressure. There’s also a completely new look!
Product Manager Phillip Guadalupe showed me the new Gen 3 Benjamin Marauder and confirmed that it should be available at retail very soon – like within a couple of months!
The Gen 3 Marauder will be initially available in .22 and .25 calibers. The .22 cal magazine holds 14 pellets, while the .25 cal mag holds 12. That’s an useful increase from the long-running previous models.
As you would expect, the gun is fitted with two pressure gauges. One indicates the bottle fill pressure, the other the regulated air pressure. Both are located on the right side of the gun.
As can be seen below, the side lever cocking action is designed to be easily-changeable from right- to left-side operation.
For the first time on a Marauder, the safety is a “push across” type. This is instead of the previous “back and forth” lever inside the trigger guard. The trigger is of the “pole type” with an adjustable blade.
Overall length is 45.6 Inches and the bare weight 9.2 Lbs, the company says.
The synthetic stock is designed with attractive – and practical – grip panels on the pistol grip and forearm. There’s also an adjustable cheekpiece.
Fortunately the Marauder’s sling swivel studs have been retained, that’s a move that will be appreciated by anyone needing to carry the gun for any distance.
Power levels also take a large rise compared to the previous model. The new Gen 3 Benjamin Marauder has a Muzzle Energy specification of 50 Ft/Lbs in .22 caliber. In .25 cal, it’s 80 Ft/Lbs.
Phillip explained to me that the gun shown here is a final pre-production model. So there may be a few minor differences to the guns we buy at retail. However they will be few and – what you see here – is basically the new Marauder we will be shooting very soon.
One final thing to note is that these new Marauders are pellet guns. No slug barrels at the present time.
