In my opinion the Marauder is in dire need of an update. There has been different versions that have come out through the years, but it has been basically the same rifle.

I would like to see in the next Marauder continue to be made in the USA.

My first suggestion is a side lever. I’ve owned bolt guns and side levers, I prefer the side lever. I don’t think you lose anything going to one.

Aluminum or TI air cylinder, balanced the rifle. (Aftermarket part available, which my custom marauder has)

Increase fill pressure rating from 3,000 psi to 3,600 psi

Turret style air metering wheel with 6-8 repeatable settings instead of the Velocity Metering Screw. Design is in my head. (Future project maybe)

Pilot valve that only needs .4-.5 hammer travel, 5-6 grams of hammer, and 3-4 lbs of hammer spring. (My custom marauder has this)

Move the rear bolt into the side of the receiver. (Future project of mine maybe)

Transfer port terminating into the receiver, use of a thimble, and a bolt probe with exchangeable tips for caliber/barrel swaps. (My custom marauder allows this)

Removable threaded plug at the rear to allow hammer spring swap. (My custom marauder has one)

These changes would smoke the competition by a long shot. No need for semi auto, at least for me.

Sounds like a $2000 marauder

I’d like to see the Marauder pistol/carbine (Prod) offered in .177, .22, and .25 calibers. It should be updated to compete with the proliferation of compact PCPs currently flooding the market. I’d like to see it with a side lever, higher capacity air cylinder (fatter), possibly a semi-automatic version with the ability to de-cock the gun, some sort of “loaded breech” indicator or anti-double load feature, still remain compact, lightweight, and easy to maintain. A simpler way to degas the reservoir would be a welcomed improvement. I agree with @Stubbers, a higher fill pressure would be nice. I’d also like to see a wooden carbine stock option in addition to a solid synthetic stock, collapsible, and folding stock options. An incorporated magazine holder would be a nice touch as long as it isn’t loud with ammo rattling around as you traverse your hunting terrain toting it.

I just posted the above in a different thread but it probably belongs here more.

A much more expensive Marauder that I would love to own is better than a cheaper one that I don't.

Side lever and higher fill pressure.

I think a side lever action would be great, and a real nice .22 caliber barrel. The .25 with the Green Mountain barrel is a really nice rifle, and a bargain at that in the used market. The .177 and .25 seriously overshadowed the .22 rifle, seemingly due to the barrel. The best modifications to the Marauder rifle would be a retrofit to the second generation Marauders. The Marauder is a classic, a good value, and needs seemingly minimal modification to remain a current classic.
