What did you buy/receive today?

I bought a Know Your Own Limits target. I have wanted one of these for some time now. Should be more fun than just shooting at paper all of the time and challenging. I also bought 2 new scopes, a 4x16x44 and a 3x18x50. These are cheap scopes so I do not know if I will like them or not but on zero recoil guns, they might be just fine. Anyway, I wanted some more magnification for shooting the .177s and the .20.

I've had a Reximex barrel ordered through Air Venturi for 6-months. I was all but ready to give-up on ever gettin' the barrel, but then yesterday a package showed on my doorstep. And there it is, the barrel!

Haven't taken the time to look at the bore with the scope yet but crossing my fingers that it's not 'trash' like the one I am replacing??? I'll get after that project tomorrow.

Sometimes, it shows you that things might work out to be better than they look too. I have the same borescope and didn't really like some of the stuff I saw in my 250z barrel, but I already knew the barrel shot great, so I could not care less. If I had borescoped first I most probably would have screwed up a great shooting barrel trying to make it look better on camera, or most likely just replaced it outright, without trying it at all. A catch-22 sometimes. Borescopes are handy for checking transfer ports and breech orings though, for sure.

That was really more my point: until you realize that you can’t always judge a barrel by its bore shot, it can be unsettling.

It sure can, but like we are always saying, with airguns you always have to test. There is just no telling sometimes, actually most of the time. lol
