What did you buy/receive today?

The Torments Lite. No rain this morning here in my section of N. Alabama, already bagged 2 Starlings at right at30 yards! Glad I had all the services and checks done on it. This lightweight Rex is a definite shooter.
Looks to be the same block/trigger as what they use on the Daystar. Also, same barrel and air tube just shorter.

If your Tormenta shoots as well as my Daystar you are going to be happy with it!

Absolutely! I have the Daystar as well , in .25 and love it. For some reason though, the .22s are all I been shooting lately. I guess my mind is telling me to save the bigger stuff for the coming coyote/trash panda invasion.

I've only ever had two .25s One was 45fpe and the other is 86fpe.

I shot a coyote in the brain at 50yds with the 45fpe rifle! It killed the coyote right on the spot! But, I just didn't feel like it was enough energy..., especially since I wanted to stretch my coyote shooting distance to 75yds. I've killed coyotes to 80yds with the 86fpe rifle and so long as I keep the rifle to no farther than that it is enough energy for clean, humane coyote kills.

But like you said, I use .22 for all other shooting except coyote.

It's just my opinion..., but I feel like .22 is an inherently more accurate caliber than the .25???

With me and coyotes, I am kinda ruthless. Yeah, I blasted em with my AF Condor .25 using the 32 grain slugs. Like you said, instant off switch. But, here at the mountain, full of bluffs valleys and near endless woods, we pretty well over run. So, our chickens, barn cats and the occasional small dog became fair game to them. So, I became ruthless right back. I make em bleed. Yeah, they fast, but between the fence, and my NV scopes, I usually can make 1 pay before they gone. I dont worry if they suffer or not.
I can't argue the fact of .22s better accuracy. I never shoot farther than 40ish to 45 yards. But grew up on .22s, and they have always been my favorite pest hunter for sure.

I have had guns that liked them as much as JSBs but no better than the JSBs and other guns that did not like them, so I just get the JSBs and be done with it now.
That's what I been doing. I watch lot of the you tube vids, lot of guys saying that new jsb pellet skirts are jacked up, so they buying the fx and the AEA, but I just got in 5 cans, and all skirts looked great in mine, and that's on top of many other cans of them in 25, 22 and 30 calibers. I've rooted through them all after hearing the bad skirts business.

All of my pellet rifles are on AEA as of early last year. They use to all be on JSB. The AEA group enough better to warrant the switch. Plus, they are less expensive than the JSBs are now.
Excellent reasons for sure. The JSBs are getting way pricey. I will try to get a can of the AEA in....22,, see how they do. The JTS Dead Centers are another favorite of mine. The 18 grain .22s have been excellent.

I have a bunch of .22 AEA pellets, but I haven’t been shooting .22 much, until the last couple of days. I will say this: I’ve shot a bunch of JSB Hades pellets 15.89 gr. The condition of the skirts is terrible. I’m not talking about a kink here or there. Lots of crushed skirts. These were shipped packed in foam and double packed etc.. I shoot 99% AEA pellets in my .30s and ,25 Ghost and I don’t see this issue. To be fair ,22 skirts are more delicate. Maybe I will pull a random tin each of AEA and JSB .22 pellets and compare a similar sample of the skirts. And we are back to the excellent quality of the Norma .22 pellets and now they’re gone 😢😭
