Was This The Most Intnovative New Product At IWA 2026?

Was Nova Vista’s TMS system the most innovative new product at IWA 2026?

Well, we covered it in outline in an earlier post. But here we’re taking more of a deep dive as there’s more to this Three-In-One modular PCP airgun system than initially meets the eye. Keep reading to the end to find out why…

Chinese OEM Airgun Manufacturers At IWA OutdoorClassics 2026

Above is a photograph of the system I took at the show. Amazingly, it all comes in one box!

The TMS, three-in-one modular system is clearly a very innovative design. The system comprises:

  • One base receiver unit
  • One collapsible stock
  • One height-adjustable cheekpiece
  • One buttstock spacer
  • Two pistol grips
  • Three barrels
  • Three HPA tubes
  • One pressure gauge assembly
  • Two forend extensions
  • Two cocking levers
  • Two magazines
  • One fill probe

Phew!

Now there may be some late changes in configuration between the pre-production TMS product shown at the IWA Show and final, shipping product. But it’s going to be similar.

You get the picture. This means the TMS can be configured as a pistol, carbine or rifle. The owner can ring the changes in any way at any time – and back again, if required. All purchased at one time and for one price!

Now I don’t know what that price will be, but you have to assume that it’s going to be attractive. This concept is likely to appeal to a TON of air rifle buyers, particularly if they are new to PCPs and are not sure exactly what configuration would suit them best.

All configurations include a regulated PCP action, side lever cocking, 300 bar (4,350) fill pressure, a two-stage trigger and rotary magazine pellet feed.

The TMS System is expected to be available in three calibers: .177, .22 and .25 cal. Caliber-specific specs are as follows…

Note from the photographs above and below that the cocking lever can be set on the left, in “pistol” configuration. Alternatively it can be mounted on the right side for use in “rifle” configurations. The two levers are different, too!

The HPA cylinder capacities are as follows:

  • Short (pistol) length 110 cc
  • Medium (carbine) length 180 cc
  • Long (rifle) length 250 cc

So what was the other innovative aspect of the TMS System?

It’s actually something that I have never seen before in specifications for a general-use airgun of any type.

Reading closely, you find that the manufacturer has included an accuracy specification for the gun. Now that really is revolutionary!

Nova Vista specifications give the following information:

  • Pistol, maximum 10 mm group for 5 shots at 10 Meters (0.4 Inches at 11 Yards)
  • Carbine, maximum 25.4 mm for 5 shots at 40 Meters (1 Inch at 44 Yards)
  • Rifle, maximum 25.4 mm for 5 shots at 40 Meters (1 Inch at 44 Yards)

We can ask the types of pellets used to create those specifications – this is not given. We can also assume that the group sizes refer to Center-To-Center measurements, that is also not explicitly stated. But these are relatively small issues that do not deflect from the basic intent.

In my opinion, those group size specifications sound excellent. 1 Inch at 44 Yards is about 2.17 MOA.

If Nova Vista can deliver to those specifications across the full range of production, they will likely make many “average Joe” shooters (like me) very happy.

So was Nova Vista’s TMS system the most innovative new product at IWA 2026? I would have to say yes…

Agreed. Someone should release it in the US!

Yip, that's the way the OEM business works. Companies like Nova Vista and Snowpeak use IWA to show product concepts and sell to their customers - like Pyramyd. They will also make changes to match requirements set by the customer as they agree a deal. This stage can take some time.

Of course, if no-one buys, then the product never makes it here (or anywhere). There's no guarantee...
