This is a trip I did awhile ago in a pretty remote and scenic location. For this trip I brought the Umarex Origin.25 that I had outfitted with the Buck Rail tactical chassis. Although I pretty much have given up Umarex products, this is probably one of the better guns I've used from them. It's a lightweight, inexpensive, unregulated simplistic side lever that works as intended on small game. Marley and I attempted some rabbit hunting followed by a very relaxing evening at camp around the fire. The following day we set out on foot to a few locations that had good pockets of Ground Squirrels. Those not familiar with these squirrels, they are in fact a varmint that can carry the plague and cause tremendous damage to these forested areas.
