Airguns can be a challenge to transport on the down low without your gun case screaming “GUN” because let’s face it most airguns are big and most gun cases aren’t exactly on the “DL” . There aren’t too many guns that fold down and stow away easily in a violin case. The best I can come up with is my L1 stowed in a less tactical looking backpack along with a small 500cc buddy bottle. This setup doesn’t scare my neighbors and if I must deal with law enforcement it won’t look threatening rather just a day bag. Here’s my setup. Kinda hard to beat the Classic L1 for this purpose. I can do a pistol but the stability isn’t there unless I put a stock.

Mike, I am so sorry. Having to deal with that absolutely sucks. Before my accident, I lived in a somewhat snooty neighborhood in Central Ms. Nothing I loved more than loading up to go shoot or hunt. No bags for me, Let the neighbors freak! The Ex said I was the only redneck in the subdivision.

Lol it’s not so bad but I still don’t like to show

I do the same with my L2. Stowed in a backpack under my back seat. I don’t usually bring a bottle with me, bc let’s face it, who’s taking that many shots on a walk and stalk in the woods?

I like the inconspicuous nature even where I live where people don’t really care. It’s not just not to have to deal with an occasional Karen.

I agree, there is nothing wrong with putting a gun in a vehicle. At the most I would use a gun case only to protect the gun not the neighbors. It might be a little obvious anyway when I look like I am on my way to Vietnam.

It's good that the neighbors know you have guns, it keeps them honest and in their own space. But I also shoot in my backyard as many other people do in my area, yeah, we are all red necks here, so it has never been a secret but I do try to be considerate with the noise and the time of day.

Don't let other people run your life or ruin your opportunities for fun. You only live once and that goes way too fast. But yes, you should never leave anything valuable unattended in a vehicle, especially any kind of gun.

I go hunt and then straight home no stops for anything in between no chance for theft. I preplan so I have everything I need before I leave the house.

When you just give random people that kind of power over you when you are doing nothing wrong, you give away your freedom.

No, you don't, because thieves will steal an airgun as fast as a PB. Just one of several reasons. No sense in bringing more grief down on yourself than necessary.
Probably faster cause in most American places there not considered a fire arm so that's not a big deal . Like here my cuz got robbed and they left the pb guns cause it would be a way harder sentence / pen time then regular theft .. ain catch and release here like cal, ny or leftyville.

I used to load hard cases in my coupe and station wagon. Not hard for the neighbors to figure out, but not as easy as a rifle bag would be. I am now using a large SUV with a hard mounted case where the third row would be. That is inconspicuous. cannot be seen as it is below the window.

Now my big issue is taking the rifles into and out of the car. Bring them from the safe in a soft bag, pull them out and then place them into the case.
I am waiting for a cop to drive by and give me a hard time when I load them or offload them.

P.s.. this is a Cello case not guitar.😉

funny story I heard about one of these carrying cases.

A cop friend suggest that his buddy use a guitar case like this to carry his rifle(s) on the NY subway. Told whoever asked that he plays the guitar. When riding said subway with the cop friend someone asked him to pull out his guitar and play a tune or two. The cop suggested to the individual that it really wasn't a good idea.
