I'm kind of obsessing over buying airgun replicas of some firearms I already own. I have a Glock 19 and a Sig P365—both have airgun versions (Umarex for the Glock and Sig’s own P365), and they supposedly match the weight and feel of the real ones.
Even though I don’t plink for fun, the idea of using them for dry-fire training and drills at home is tempting. I also have a compact 1911, and I know there are tons of airgun versions out there—though most are full-size.
Talk me into it—or out of it.

I like to play army man with the real thing, a toy BB gun just doesn't do it for me when it comes to practicing un-aliving someone. Lol

On a serious note, I've got a few handfuls of replicas and the only ones that float my boat are the revolvers. The semi-auto blowbacks all tend to fail and junk out, get jammed and just feel terrible compared to the real thing.

I think training should be with the real thing. Training guns most likely will not have the same trigger pull. Will not have the same recoil and probably won't have the same point of impact. So how does shooting something that only looks like what you have help. Only if it is shoot don't shoot training.
