Notos Is Your Notos Upgraded or Out the Box?

I’ve read with mucho interest the great reviews and reception the airgunning community has given the Notos. At its price point and performance level OTB its seems a definite winner. It has become a modders delight and all types of iterations keep popping up. I recently inquired in one of the threads as to the actual costs of one of these modded up Notos, including the price of the gun? Two posters confirmed close to 1K. Spending over $700 USD to mod up a under $300 PCP? At the 1K price point, a lot of other options are available, especially if buying used. My question is… Is “your” Notos an OTB good shooter.? Or did you mod it up for more accuracy, cosmetics, etc.? And if so, how much over the price of the gun have you invested? My impression is that the Notos is a good OTB PCP and should be capable on small pests and targets out to 40 yards as is. Am I mistaken or missing something?

Are they any crazier than the guys who put $300 in mods into an $80 2240?

Out of the box just clean the barrel, adjust the trigger , throw the magazines in the trash and order some Carm. That’s it

OTB for me and adequate for the ranges that are readily available for me...seldom take a shot over 20Y and any misses are my fault, not the Notos. Did clean the barrel and adjust the trigger....added a cheap scope and that's it.

I bought a Notos because of all of the hype and great price delivered to my door. I only smoothed out the trigger, no upgrades other than CARM magazines. I also have a Brocock Atomic that costs way more dollars. I understand why a person would modify the Notos if he/she was on a tight budget and did modifications over time or a person that just enjoys doing modifications to see what can be done with an inexpensive airgun. But and this is a big but, the stock Notos shoots almost as well as my Atomic at up to 30 yards and unless I have a new barrel made for the Notos (big dollars) plus some of the other modifications available it doesn't make sense for me to put money into the Notos to get it closer to the Atomic. Also, I don't believe I can make the Notos better (primarily feel, fit and finish) than the Atomic no matter how much money I put into the Notos.

I keep the Notos for a friend's young sons that live down the road and come to my house to shoot airguns. They have no idea how much airguns cost and enjoy out shooting me and my Atomic occasionally with the Notos!

My Notos is OTB, did clean the barrel & adjust the trigger, added a Bugbuster scope.

Mine has drop block and 380cc carbon fiber bottle and Terminador Industries Deci ball moderator and Fifty dollar Amazon scope. Have around $600 in my setup. Gets 125 shots per fill and have regulator set at 1600 psi for 826 fps. Trigger still needs work and polishing the sear didn't help much. She's super accurate and lightweight. The gun shoots better than I do! Lol

Mine is just OTB. Cleaned barrel adjusted trigger and put on a Hawke scope.

Looking forward to cleaning the barrel then mounting a scope and trying it out. We will see what mods need to be made.
It's my 2nd pre charged. My first was a Hammerli Pneuma.

So the Notos really is the PCP equivalent of the 2240 and 13XX guns!

Just got the FX 380mm barrel kit installed on mine and wow what a difference! Easier now to take those 50 yard shots and be accurate. By the way, welcome to the forum!

It's from Tango Sierra, he no longer makes them but I'm hoping to revive the idea and make even quieter as well as a lot stronger at the insert.

This one is 8.5" long and reduces the sound levels to mid 60's at stock settings.
