The Umarex Komplete Is The Most Versatile Air Rifle Ever!

1752181343536.webp

OK, now it’s official. The Umarex Komplete is officially the most versatile air rifle ever! Now it can be powered by either a 130 cc HPA cylinder, a 32 Gram Nitrogen cartridge, 88 Gram CO2 cartridge, or – with an adapter – two 12 gram CO2 cartridges.

There’s nothing else in the market that offers that sort of charging flexibility!

The basic concept for the Komplete is that it is a “PCP that needs no charging equipment”. It does that by being powered by self-contained NitroAir cartridges that supply the gun with compressed Nitrogen without the need for a HPA tank, hand pump or compressor.

The HAM testers loved this gun and the whole concept. It was an easy Gold Award winner!

Subsequently, HAM tested the Komplete when using 88 Gram CO2 cartridges.

Then we also tested it when using 12 Gram CO2 cartridges with the Umarex CO2 adapter. Again the results were excellent.

Now Air Venturi has introduced a screw-in HPA tube conversion for the Komplete. This can be filled from a tank, hand pump or compressor. That makes it a “real PCP” according to conventional thinking.

The Air Venturi PCP Conversion Kit simply replaces any of the other power sources for the Komplete. Indeed, it’s possible to shoot the gun using large or small CO2 cartridges, Nitro cartridges or HPA with no alterations to the gun at all. Just de-gas between filling as you would expect…

The HPA Conversion Kit tube is not fitted with a pressure gauge. However this is not really an issue as most people will fill using the larger – and more accurate – gauge on their tank, hand pump or compressor.

Air Venturi’s HPA Conversion Kit provides an HPA tube capable of being filled to a maximum of 3,625 PSI. The 130 cc capacity gives 35 – 40 shots per fill before the regulator set point is reached. It’s in stock now.

The price is $99.99. That’s in addition to the base gun price of $199.99.

So the Umarex Komplete now really is the most versatile air rifle ever. Choice is good and the Komplete gives you lots of it where filling is concerned!

I think this is awesome! I love the idea of it, that it actually came to pass, almost makes me pass out. Options, options and more options, what's not to love? On top of that, it's not expensive either. I personally don't need it but I will certainly recommend it to someone if they are in the market and don't want to deep dive.

I wish Umarex all the success in the world with this!

@Cantona256 Please tell us your opinion of what are the biggest benefits of the Komplete. I would be very interested to know...
1) Accuracy. The scope that comes with it is not good but I put a $30 barska scope on it and only ever had to rezero if I changed pellets. It was not just a backyard shooter for me either. It sometimes rode along as a truck gun and got hiked many miles in the desert and sage. Rock solid.

2) It has great power for such a small and light gun. I think it averaged 26-28fpe for me depending on the pellet. I personally liked shooting the 15.4gr gamo redfire the best out of it but it’ll shoot 18.1 jsb really well too. I found the Umarex brimstones to be just a bit too heavy.

3) It’s light. Even with a scope it’s like 6 pounds. Very easy to shoot offhand. With the cover over the barrel it’s not a big deal to shoot off a structure either. Easy to carry when hiking.

4) Side-lever. It’s really smooth and solid to operate. But it also just makes you feel like something more than a $200 pellet gun. For someone who shoots a lot of powder burners and is shooting the Komplete for the first time it makes it feel different. One 25yard group and they’ll be like “okay that’s not the pellet gun I grew up with.”

5) For most of the pcp world the nitro is too expensive to run a lot of and CO2 isn’t gonna provide the power. But with the HPA tank option you can now do all 3… for the prepper community or people who like to think about their bug out kit this makes the Komplete almost invincible. I’d much rather have it than one of those foldable break barrels. Especially if I was gonna rely on it to feed myself… also the nitro option is nice to have for cold weather. Popping in a nitro tank means you’ll have almost the same numbers as usual since the nitrogen requires insanely low temps before its density starts to be greatly effected.

There’s not a whole lot I would change about it either… but if they made a version 2.0 it would be neat if they made the regulator easily adjustable. They wouldn’t even have to add a gauge if they restricted it to like 200-300psi in either direction. But now that you can do HPA it would be neat to have that option. I think they’d sell even more of them cuz off the top of my head I can’t think of anything in that price bracket where you can do much power adjustment.

1/2 by UNF thread option would be great. The stock moderator barely keeps it backyard friendly. The option to throw a $40 buckrail moderator would be super cool and I also think would be a big selling point.

Finally more aftermarket support! Haha obviously the numbers have to be there but a lot of the fun of the pcp world is modding and customizing. As a “gateway drug” type of gun having a few more options would just help create more those life long pcp hobbyists in my opinion haha.

I really hate that they used the press on moderator on the rifle! Those things barely work. I'm sure someone on the internet will be melting it off to see what's under don't you think? Maybe the right 1/2 x 20 threads are underneath already? That would be cool! Slip on adapter for the barrel itself would be nice but if threads are there already...
