Yes it was...Tom talked about it during an auction for another rifle he had built, but this one had a custom cerakote finish and a hunt for the winning bidder......

I was lucky enough to win the Texas hunt auction with Matt and Dana ....OK I placed the first bid, than the price started to go up. Boss Lady looked at me and asked if I really wanted it..."Of course I do" then she placed the highest bid.....She sure is a keeper for sure....

More to follow tomorrow....Lots of stuff happened in a short period of time.

Claudio and the AAA team did very well this year, I'm very happy for Tom to have built the winning gun. When Claudio won he was in tears, he handed me his phone that he had a live video going with his wife and son back in Patagonia so they could see him on the podium. We were all pretty emotional as I know how hard Tom and the whole team had worked this past year.

This. I have about 500 gigs of video and a couple thousand photos. Every day I had to charge my mics and cam batteries and download my data to 3 different hard drives for redundancy (one for AoA eventually)…Dana had the same process. I think just to do that process got me finished at about 2am and every day I got up with Dana around 6am so 4 hours of sleep each day, finalizing with the last day doing a red eye flight back home with a 30min snooze. I’m wrecked. I’ll be trying to do one video a week for the next two months but I’m not going to get it all out there in a single weekend and frankly if I did it would be a lazy job. EBR is the best competition in the world so it deserves quality work on the post production.

I will say that hanging out and shooting film alongside Dana and Stephen was great fun. Dana has some cool ideas for next year.
 
A few days😱. I finally got all equipment cleaned, put away and inventory taken….So far only lost a rear lens cover…Not bad considering everyday was pretty much all different equipment.

You guys get some much deserved rest….Tommorw is OK🤪🤪🤪🤪
