PCP The GAMO Arrow is coming together nicely

The standard .177 that I have is carrying on average 17 ftlb of muzzle energy with 10.3 gr hades. More than enough for any house nesting birds. I have handled the classic wood stock at AIrgun Revisions and it is definitely a bulkier stock. I have not shot it though. The poly stock is not as bulky. I like the poly stock better for me.
Lol, shoot the classic! You will love em both!

I tried the JSB knockouts in my standard .177 and it was a 💩 show. The magazine did not like them at all. They fit easily enough but the band did not hold em very well and cause loading issues. Hades it is for this one. That’s fine, I don’t use slugs anyway. Maybe I’ll try em in the RPA 🤔🧐.
I only have one .177, and it's an 80s era multi pump, so I have no experience at all using slugs in those. I'm still wet behind the ears with the slugs in my .22s. They definitely require scope adjustments vs pellets.

I have a GAMO brake barrel I could sling the knockouts out of. It’s an old Big Cat .177 that I really don’t like to shoot. The recoil is terrible, but in the name of testing I might just drag it out and see what I does with the knockouts. Until I have a HO .177 I’m limited in my choices. I’m growing g quite fond of .177, but I gotta admit I just plain and simple love shooting small caliber air. .177-.25 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve shot slugs through it before so I know they’ll pass the choke, but they were all NSA slugs. I didn’t have a pcp yet and was very uneducated on everything in this realm of air power.

I have heard excellent things about the NSA slugs. I had never fooled with them at all (slugs), until I got my AF Condor. That got me interested in them, knowing that it would shoot them accurately. Then I got my Escape SS with a Condor tank, and 2 boxes of very heavy slugs....To me they very heavy, I didn't even know they made .22 that heavy. And wow! Talk about a beast.

They are quiet. I have never had a Marauder to compare. My standard Arrow was my 1st pcp, a gift from my wife. I have went down the Rabbit hole completely ever since.
My standard never misses, even with 14.3 CPHP. That's all it ever shoots. I couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a banjo with my Classic till I figured out the 18 grain ammo is what it likes. Now it the same as the standard. But the both very quiet. The smack of lead to feathers or fur is what makes the noise. I just hear a "chuff" noise when I pull the trigger.
I know man it's very quiet! The first fill i shot my synthetic 22 Arrow and i thought something was wrong with it it was so quiet.

I think the standard what ever caliber will have a little more noise that comes through the plastic stock, but the muzzle report is very quiet. Quiet to the point that the robins in the back yard did not fly away while I was plinking on card board targets. I shoot next to a guy with a .22 Maruader in BR now and then and his is not moderated outside of the baffles and yes they are quiet. I think the Arrow is a little quieter though.
I thought my Arrow synthetic 22 was broken when i shot it for the first time as it's so quiet! I had to check it on the chrony to make sure it was shooting right. What psi do you guys air it up to? Do you go to factory fill or over? Just checking to see what others are doing with their Arrow.

I e only filled mine to the factory green line limit. I suppose it could be very much like my PRod; that one I only fill to 2700, because above that the air is wasted in fluctuations in pellets speeds and accuracy. 2700 down to 1800 is where the PRod (mine) shoots best. I haven’t experimented with the GAMO in that realm however.
