I just got a new 250z so it is gen 2. The hammer spring retainer plug on mine is two pieces, a large diameter screw that's the same diameter as the original with a smaller diameter screw in the center for adjusting the spring tension. I had backed the smaller one out after the install to set spring tension to a minimum to start adjustment from that setting. When I went to put the stock back on I had to run the smaller screw in for it to clear the stock. I did back it out some after I had finished putting the front portion back on. Have you had experience adjusting the spring tension on your kit in a Gen 2 yet? If so can you give me an idea where I should start.

I have also installed the 14cc external plenum by C88.

I'm planning on shooting Franco's 32 gr HP slugs and trying some pellets that wouldn't require much changing of reg' pressure or spring tension.

Just a FYI, I did install Teflon tape on the smaller diameter spring tension adjustment screw to prevent it from gradually moving and changing the setting. I saw it happening on a YouTube:

Test with the stock off .. When you get it set then put the stock on...
That's what I was planning. I have a home made rifle vice to clamp it in to check group size and a Chronograph to monitor speeds. Where should I put the larger screw? in reference to the pin that keeps it from moving. Where do I then put the smaller diameter tension screw? back it out from clearing the stock to put them back together? Or go forward? And what method of adjustment do you use from there? I hear that there's a point that the fps stops changing, just gets louder, back up a half turn and proceed slowly to get tightest group.

I'm shooting 33 to 34 grain slugs. I think the spring from the slug kit is perfect for the gen2, but without the brass weight.

If you're going to push a 36 grain or heavier slug the brass weight may help at a higher reg pressure. I'd still be worried the spring would be too long.

Hi, i probably have the same batch as you with c88 and slugs power kit installed. Just a tip, you can slide it in the stock with the hammer tension back out all the way. You just need to declock the gun and keep the bolt slided in. Work it in with a angle. Make it easy if you stand the gun up with barrel down

How many shot do you get at what fps?
I have slug kit and c88 plenum. Im pushing 22 cal 28 gr at about 960 fps. I got my reg set at 2550 about. I get about 20 shots

32 grain sweet spot for francos is for sure(out of my wifes stock barrel) 960 fps.

Ported valve, ported thimble, polished regulator.

Slug kit, match trigger- R.A., and plenum from c88.

I get approximately 17 shots depending on temps. Cold, drops the shot count down.

My critter getter z, same set up as my wife's, exception is l.w. barrel, and a slightly stiffer valve spring, so that i can adjust the tune waaaaaaaay down for 14 fpe pellet shooting.

Running 33grain francos at 965, I get approximately 15, 14 slugs ran through before im too close for comfort dropping off the reg.

14 fpe running pellets, I honestly have lost count after my 3rd mag of hades out of the big air mag. Both my 250, and my wife's 250, are in .25 caliber.

Winters, im flipping to my gauntlet sl30 since im getting just under 60 slugs at 920 fps with the hex hunts. I just have to be much more selective over shots.
