Hi folks, new here to this forum. I'm putting a Huma regulator into my Hatsan Airmax .22cal. The gun is setup from the factory with no regulator for a maximum 200bar fill, the gun bottle is rated at 300bar. With a regulator installed is there any reason the tank can't be filled to 300bar?

I don’t think you should exceed the design specs for the gun. Should the reg ever fail, the gun will see whatever your fill pressure is…maybe fine, but I wouldn’t risk it.

Hatsan said the limiting factor is the air tube which is rated for 200bar.

If you can set up a regulator similar to the gauntlet, if it has a blowout disc on the bottle end at 300 bar and one on gun side at 200 bar, seems it would be safe then. The gauntlet protects the rifle side with a blowout disc. If the regulator fails high, or leaks while bottle pressure is higher than is safe for the receiver, the disc pops.
