Plinking and only plinking.

Today I was plinking for a bit until “finger freeze” (cold here). Anyway, I had a couple of pill bottles laying flat on the ground at 32 yds away. My scope has me holding under about 3 inches with 14.3 gr at that distance. It was really difficult to judge a 3 inch rise when shooting at something laying flat on the ground. Anybody run into that kind of plinking problem? Sounds like a silly problem but it was interesting to me. Stay well all👍😉

Spring is coming but it’s still a bit cold and mud sloppy around here. I wanted to do some standing shooting today but these old tired old tired shoulders don’t want to cooperate. I came up with this idea to shoot from my shed. Repurposed some wood and 2 clamps from HF. Works pretty good and is height adjustable👍Say well all😉

Put a bar stool there and give the old legs a rest too :P

I know many of you are griping about the cold, but how about 72-75 with about a 30-40 MPH wind! That's what we've got in springtime in the DFW metroplex area (North Texas for you non-Texan types).
We are starting to get some warmth up here in Ohio. We've had the winds pretty often. I heard advice from a seasoned AG'er that said use the wind. It really has helped me with windage judgement and placement. Looking forward to the 72-75👍😉

Can't stop for the wind, sometimes not even for the rain. 😏 I just change shooting plans away from paper punching if it was in the cards. I figure it can't make my Papa T factor any worse. 😂

Found a different use for empty pellet tins. Screw them tight, paint with yellow or white spray paint, then put them out 30 or so yards and plink away. They give different aspects for aim especially when laying flat in the grass. Of course they may blow apart after a while but I got mine to snap together again. Yeah…I suppose I had too much time on my hands but…what the heck. Stay well all 👍🇺🇸😉

Had a great time last night shooting against my brother. Ended it with some plinking challenges and loved this one: 40Y shooting my TX200 vs. brother and his tuned Diana 350. We shoot the caps off. He hit it low and it stayed standing so I hit it first shot just below the cap (so we both thought). We'll after clean up, i was sorting the trash in my shop and....I DID HIT THE CAP, lol. We saw the exit damage originally....The TX continues to leave me in awe. I sent him the pics to gloat😁

I'm overdue for some good can carnage
Here's a can from last night to tide you over😆... My brother was using his HMR near the end, less reactive as it was just putting little holes in the cans vs the Ghost shooting 25.39gr @ 975fps absolutely trashing them!
How does that can hat keep the cans up?🤔
