Pinty Buster .177 Inbound - New Project Gun

I think I may have fired 5 shots through the Buster.

Why so few shots? I sighted mine in with a CVLIFE WolfCloak Motion Awake Red/Green Dot and a Buck Rail 1/2 x20 UNC moderator. Stacks pellets at 20 yrds. All budget friendly components, but a very solid configuration! The Buster is an amazing airgun, particularly for the price point.

I bought it and the Alpha at the same time and the Buster took a month traveling around the country before it showed up. I designed a folding stock for it and quickly fired a partial mag through it, just to make sure it worked. I had already started playing around with the Alpha and so I put the Buster IMG_2841.webpon the wall and never quite got back to it yet.

Glad I was able to help you, even though I didn't grab one yet. I am contemplating doing so anyway... seriously contemplating.

I need to determine my financial disposition concerning a couple gun auctions first, lol. Then I'll pull the (much lighter) trigger. That young guy who is waiting to save up for a decent scope should just take a existing scope off a gun and enjoy it. I believe scopes can be moved from gun to gun. Good practice moving and sighting them in.

I remember, that shipping was quite the adventure. Play with the Buster. I think you're gonna love it. Maybe print something cool for it that members could buy?

I do the exact same thing. Work on a gun then don't touch it for too long, months sometimes. I actually brought a Reximex RPA PCP air pistol, blue laminated, .22 cal that I haven't shot yet, opened the fitted case and said to myself, oh cool! Then closed the case, lol. I have the same setup for my Reximex as Shooter 1721. Hopefully I'll put it together and shoot this weekend.

I agree, scopes can be moved around. Scope from my 362 100th Anniversary is currently on my Vanguard because the 362 doesn't need it right now. I need to get some higher rings and mount the pinty scope I bought for the Vanguard so that I can use my 10 round RCO magazines, but this works for now. There are a few setups I don't touch, but in general I let things be semi-fluid in configuration.

Don't forget PP15 to save some green when you go to pull the trigger.

I didn't bid high enough to win anything today. People were bidding hundreds of dollars more than the actual value of the guns, SMH. So I purchased the Nightfall 2.0! I had a 25% off coupon that Thiago gave me back in December that I used. Really made it a bargain buy! Looking forward to getting and shooting this little gem.

I just finished mounting a scope and sighting in the Nightfall 2.0, used a Buck Rail suppressor, really helped quiet it down. Trigger pull weight is definitely much better, no issues now. All metal construction is of high quality. It's a lot of gun for the money. A hallmark of Pinty. My only concern so far is a slightly loose lower bolt, the black portion that makes contact with the bottle valve. The looseness causes the rear of the bolt to not smoothly engage the valve intermittently. Worried because I'm only about 100 shots in. We shall see if it gets worse. Other than that I like this gun. 👍

I was texting with the Pinty Instagram rep and he said a .25 and .30 cal Nightfall is coming out! FDE furniture will also be offered. Nifty little shoulder stock for the Buster is ready for prime time too.

Hi @Elexious Musick,

Thanks for sharing your experience, really glad to hear you’re enjoying the Nightfall 2.0 overall.

Regarding the loose lower bolt you mentioned, that’s something we’d definitely like to take a closer look at. If possible, could you record a short video showing the looseness and how it’s affecting the bolt engaging with the valve?

Hello Pinty Rep,

Note: This link was sent in a restricted format. I'll definitely need your email to give you access. Once I have your email I'll send you the link, then you can open it.

Please try this link. Just to let you know I currently own 3 Pinty airguns. The Striker, Buster and Nightfall. I absolutely love the Striker and Buster, concerned about my Nightfall because it’s brand new and the bolt is already having this issue. Let me know what your people say.

Best Regards,

Ed

Hi, I never heard back from you. Did you get an opportunity to watch my video?

@Elexious Musick, @Pinty Official may be a little delayed on responses. There has been a national holiday in China and that will have held him up. Just FYI...

They sent me this email right after I posted. I didn't reply to it yet. Hopefully the rep responds soon. Thanks for letting me know about the holiday.

That looks like an automated email, I wouldn't put too much stock in that meaning folks are back in office.

I originally posted the malfunctioning bolt video last Thursday, at 11:49am PST, hours after he requested it. I guess he took Friday off too, lol? Mayday in Communist China, I forgot all about it! Tbh how could they not know about this problem? Like I said before, I love my Striker and Buster, but the bolt engaging issue on the Nightfall is just getting worse and that's the most critical function on this rifle.

Maybe it's an automated email, Idk? Maybe I should post the video in an "unrestricted" format so anyone can view it on YouTube, Idk?

I'm going to contact CS and request a warranty exchange or refund and wait for the .30 cal. because it’s only getting worse.

Labour Day (May Day) holiday in China (May 1–5), so yes Friday and also tomorrow (tonight). I suspect tomorrow night has response potential.

This May shipment appears to be traveling around the world due to "global issues". Still excited for my .22 buster, just delayed.
